Orange contract, payg sim and porting
I currently have a contract with Orange that expires in a couple of days. Retentions have been unable to offer me the same deal that I can get via a retailer. Can I get my exisiting number put onto an Orange PAYG sim, and then some time later port this number onto my new contract phone, bought from the retailer? Would it be a better option to stick it onto a different networks PAYG sim?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Safer to port to another networks PAYG, that way breaks the trail and Orange can't say you're trying to get a 'backdoor upgrade'.0
