hi all , my boss at work has turned 30 and she has a list of stuff she wants to do before she is 31, skydiving is one of them which she was going to book and do but i have suggested to her that if she is doing it anyway then why not do it for charity.
the question is , is there a particular place that does this and helps with sponser forms etc or do you just book it yourself , raise money and donate.
thanks for any replys

What is it with being 30 that makes us all want to jump out of planes?! I'm 30 this year and it's on my list of things to do! I'm planning on doing it for British Heart foundation in memory of my dad.
No advice but just wanted to say good luck to everyone planning on doing it! Are we all mad?!?!

I am also turning 30 this year and have it on my to do list!! (we all must be mad!)
I was just going to book one and do it but from reading this i should do it for charity and get some money for a good cause at the same time.
Will look into it now, many thanks everyone.0 -
I did this a few years ago when i was 18. I raised money for save the children, all the info was on their website. You have to raise so much sponsorship and it covers the dive and the rest of the money goes to charity.
It's an amazing experience and something you really can't describe until you've done it :cool:Virgin CC=£2652, Next= [STRIKE]£102.88,[/STRIKE] Very=£475.60, Natwest=£800, Sainsburys CC=£1777.02, Lloyds CC=£498.29, Lloyds Loan= £13,946.18, Car=£4000Total = [STRIKE]£26,147.23[/STRIKE] £23,849.09:eek:0 -
I'm doing a feefall one this year and collecting for cancer research UK through just giving (PM if you want to support me.....even a quid will do). The place I am going with let you arrange all your charity collection and for any charity. You just pay the company £350 and the rest (min. of £350) goes to charity.
PM me for the company, they are in the north west though0 -
hi all thanks for oyur replies i will pass these messages on to her, but i must admit im turning 30 this year and have no intention of jumping out of anything lol (im petrified of heights) i find it much safer doing charity auctions and raffles lolnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

If you are going to skydive anyway then doing it for a charity is the best way to do and you don't end up having to pay for it yourself.
As with Angie's husband, I am also doing a skydive in June to raise funds for BRAKE The Road Safety Charity and to commerate the 1st anniversary of 2 little boys deaths who were killed on the M6 in June, Who lost their lives travelling in a car with their dad and my husband & sons when they were hit by a drunk driver.
Brake are looking for people to do a charity skydive in June at airfields throughout the UK, if you have facebook please check out this link and please consider doing it to raise much needed funds for charity

Google will come up with a ton of sites for you to browse through.
I do know, however, that it is quite expensive to do. You dont get to do the Sky Dive for free as that has to come out of your own pocket. If you are found out to be paying for the dive out of your sponsor money, you can be prosecuted, which is perfectly understandable.0 -
I just want to clarify.
Some charities will arrange the skydive for you. They'll ask for you to raise a minimum amount (eg £300), and the sjydive is covered in the cost, along wit training etc. That'll cost the charity, say £100, so in the end the charity gets the £200.
OR, you can arrange your own, and pay for the jump yourself, and raise money.
if you raise money for the jump, and pay the cost out of that, you MUST tell every sponsor that you are doing it that way.
often, the best way, is to contact the charity you want to fundraise for, and see if they can arrange it / advise youfor more info check out www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk . You'll find me there.

yes, I realise I may appear cold and heartless a lot of the time.0
