Virgins Head Mans Email Address

I dont think this post is in the right area, but I'm going to give it ago.

Can anyone help please. I am so sick to my back teeth of virgin media/broadband people just fobbing me off. I have had the same problems for 18 months with not getting what I'm paying for with reguard to my broadband speed etc... I have now decided that I'm going to take my complaint straight to the organ grider. Can anyone help

  • Have you tried the Virgin Media support newsgroup instead of going through the contact centres? You get a pretty speedy resolution as members of the support teams post there and will get everything sorted out, they're great!

The CEO is called Neil Burkett, you might have to google to get the exact email address though.

I'd second that. I never phone Virgin, I always go through the newsgroups. You get a much better response. Obviously it's no so good if the problem is your internet connection is down.

Info on how to access them here

Nesgroups (AKA Usenet) is one of the oldest services that runs on the Internet. I believe they pre-date the Web. They're similar to a forum.

Whilst there are some very helpful newsgroups there are also some very, very dodgy oens out there so be careful what you subscribe to.

It might be easier to access it/them via Google Groups - if you could give a few likely names!

Is that the forum that used to be NTHell?

If so, yes, I got some great advice on there when I was with NTL.

The support groups are internal and not propagated out to "real" usenet.

If your on cable you will get the speed you are paying for more or less.

If your on ADSL you may not but you'll get nowhere, it's sold as UPTO not a set speed.

To be perfectly honest the only way they'll take notice is if you leave, if you email the CEO he won't read it, you'll get passed to some administrator who may or may not help.

If you've had this problem for 18 months and not got it fixed by now then why would they think you will now? I know they can be sods, but you've nt exactly been chasing it, if it was that bad I'd have left as soon as my contracted 12 months was up.

He replied to my email at 9pm the same day. Someone from his office rang me the next day and problem was sorted. Plus £150 installation fee was refunded.
    Good Luck
