New Amex Card: American Express Red

It IS a credit card.

It DOESN'T give you cashback, but 1% of spend goes to the Global Fund for Africa. Percentage increases to 1.25% over £5000.

It WILL be chip and pin.

12.9% APR. (5.9% life of balance transfer)

Launches in March.

  • At least there is no annual fee, no matter how little you use the card (vs blue and platinum where there is).

    however Amex wasn't the first one to bring out a red credit card, remember the Nationwide Comic Relief Credit Card.

    Do you mean there's kudos in having a red amex card or just rarity value (which I doubt as the min salary is 12k)?
