I went into the Extra tonight and put the Grocer coupon at the top of the pile.
I told the SA that they might not accept it because I wasn't sure if they stocked it!
She called the supervisor over who said it was OK.
I explained that I had asked her to check, because I wasn't sure, and didn't want to pass over a dud.
The SA looked at the little mountain of coupons appearing and asked the supervisor, " How many of those can we take?"
"Keep going with Veggiecar until it gets to zero" came back the reply!!!:rotfl:
Oh well that's me popped my head above the radar then!!
......I did still pay a few pennies, but that was a pleasant £23.45 off my bill.:TIt's nice to be nice .....

Is a black and white coupon acceptable and also is there a way you can print out just the coupon and not all the parts around it?
Sorry I know probably simple but I am not the best with computers

If you do a screen print (press shift and the print screen key when the coupon is displayed on your screen). Then open up the paint application and paste it into there. Then outline the bit you want to print and 'cut' it, then open the Word application and paste it into there. You can then adjust the size before printing it. Please PM me if you need more detail cos it sounds alot more complicated than it is. Also printing in B&W. When you have selected print, click on Properties, then Advanced and you should have the option of selecting black ink only. Good luck:D“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0 -

Thanks Coupon Girl I know how to print in black and white but just wondered if that format is acceptable to stores?
Thank you for other advice but I HAVE FAILED MISERABLE. Cannot find paint application and not shure how to "cut it " if I did. Thanks anyway but above my very low level of understanding!!0 -

Black and white IS acceptable. (Hi bullshot, I was typing while you replied above..looking at it after your post looks like I am contradicting you...that wasn't the intention...reply to your post posted after this)
Coupon Girl is spot on with her advice, but if you are having trouble with it; then to save some ink on your printer, without getting technical, you may have the option when you print (depending on printer make and software drivers) to rotate the paper by 180 degrees. (normally under "page setup" or "advanced"). If you do that, you can print the coupon part from the "bottom" of the page, then turn off your printer before it prints the rest.:beer:It's nice to be nice .....

I have been told at the stores I use that as long as the coupons are in colour they are fine , but B&W could easily be photocopies and they would not be acceptable , but my friend offered 2 internet colour printed coupons the other day and they were both refused as they did not have the ' tick' on them( ie couponnet safe coupons).
My B&W are accepted no problem. I have pointed out in the past that they all have unique ID's which shows that they are not copies. I pay with my club card (for points) and tell them that if the cash office has a problem to contact me, since they have all my address details.
With most all-in-one printers or a scanner with a colour printer it would be just as easy to "photocopy" in colour as it would in B&W.
Someone posted on here some time ago an email from CS specifically stating B&W was okIt's nice to be nice .....
