    Hi All

One of my local Tescos has been happily taking internet MOCs for ages now, but things seem to be changing.

Two weeks ago I was told no more than 4 per transaction.
Last week, I used 4 with no questions asked at all.
The next day I tried to use 3, and was told that they have never taken internet coupons as it "isn't Tesco Policy"
I went to the CS desk to find out what the policy was for this store (Dereham), and after a lot of head shaking and muttering, they decided I could have used one per transaction (although it was too late as I had paid by then!). There was no one in cash office to verify it with as I tend to shop in the evening, so I'm not really sure what the actual policy is.

I will see what happens when I go in next, but I'm just glad I used my £4 airwick one last week!!

If anyone else knows anything definite then please can you let me know (as I hate it when the checkout person calls over a runner, who then calls a manager - even innocent people end up looking guilty when it takes 3 staff members to get you through the checkout process!)

Print out the Tesco policy available on this thread and show the part clearly stating that internet coupons are acceptable. Alternatively politely ask staff to phone Dundee customer service who should confirm the acceptance.

I haven't been told that. When I emailed them, they said that you can use as many NSS coupons as you like (as long as they are not identical). However, internet coupons are entirely at the store managers discretion.

The only one that MIGHT know anything for definite is the store manager.
As you are probably aware from reading the thread, internet coupons are at the store manager's discretion.
(Not the individual SA or CS...s/he neds to make the staff aware
With four different transactions giving four different results, I would ask to speak to him/her;)
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)

When i emailed customer services about a fortnight ago I was told in their reply the same as the op that internet vouchers were at the store managers discression so I'd advise you to ask to speak to the store manager and then you will no for sure.

  • Went to do my main monthly shop tonight - handed over my coupons and thought the SA was checking them a bit more thoroughly than they usually do, but didn't really think too much about it. Then I had a couple that wouldn't scan and I made a comment about it - the SA then told me that they are now having to check all coupons really carefully and they are no longer allowed no scan coupons with the hand-held scanner or type the barcode in manually because someone had been using photocopied and altered coupons at another local store and have now moved onto the store I use.
I normally have quite a few coupons that need scanning with the hand held scanner, but I am out of ink in my inkjet printer so this week I printed my coupons using the colour laser printer - probably a good job I did otherwise I think I would have had quite a few coupons rejected.

Really annoys me though that these selfish pigs are risking messing it up for the rest of us. Most of us on here are just looking for ways to save a bit of money off our shopping each week, but these people that are photocopying and altering coupons are just pure greedy gits.

I agree with you about the greedy gits! Wish one or two would be prosecuted for fraud and maybe then people would think twice about using photocoping coupons! One of the Tesco's I use is clamping down on coupons due to photocopies, so now a supervisor checks all coupons before they are scanned. I wouldn't mind that if they all knew what they are looking at but the other day I had a lot refused because she said they didn't look right. I asked her what didn't look right as they are original coupons and I don't know how to get the printer to print them any other way!! Yesterday I took the exact same coupons she rejected to another supervisor to check and she passed all of my coupons!
