sky broadband limit

Hi, we are on sky broadband, mid package with 40gb download package. Anyways, we have totted up what we can remember downloading this month and its waaay over 40gb! (we like to download movies and just got a ps3 so now they are all in HD - woops!)
I've looked on my sky account thingy online and tried to find some kind of usage monitoring thing from them but they don't seem to have one, I'd use my own but I'm not sure when the "month" starts if you get me.
My question is, then, what happens if I go over my download limit? Do I have to pay more? I can't imagine it'd be much as I could just switch up to the max pack for an extra fiver? Or will my broadband be stopped when they notice? Or, (what I'm hoping) will nothing happen? Surely if they don't provide a way to monitor it, I can claim ignorance?
I've had a little search around and can't find anything (not to say it isn't there!)
Thanks in advance.

To the best of my knowledge Sky are not enforcing their download limits at the moment. If you are that bothered you could upgrade to the Max package which is unlimited.
Best place for all things Sky (apart from here!!) is https://www.skyuser.co.ukThat gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Thank you! that's an excellent resource I think.0

Yeah i think most companies just put on limits to save themselves if they "have" to remove you. I mean we use about 3GB of net access a day and according to our "Policy Use" we should only use a max of 1GB.
Some suppliers, like BT, can make your net speeds slower during peak hours though! No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30
