Monday 19/1/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking -
  • update spreadsheets
  • move money to savings
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • storecupbpard meals
  • laundry hokey cokey for OH
  • reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
  • do one thing just for fun -
  • do something nice for someone else
  • sparkle
Good morning Dfw's back to work again today:rolleyes: , have had a good weekend though and got a lot of stuff done so not so bad. Hugs to anyone feeling poorly or fed up today - Andan hope you are feeling a bit better.

Welcome to any new posters and a big hi to all the regulars:hello: :hello: , need to get on the move as I am running a bit late so will catch up with you all later.

    So far I have:
    Checked online banking
Had lovely porridge for breakfast with some reduced tinned strawberries that I bought ages ago - sounds a bit weird, but was actually very nice!

    Today I will:
    See to animals as usual.
Put on a load of washing at 30 degrees and dry it on the airer as it is wet and horrible outside - again.
Work at home today as I don't have any meetings etc, and save fuel.
Finish lovely fridge-bottom soup that I made yesterday for my lunch (much nicer than it sounds - is is simply made from the bendy vegetables that were lurking in the bottom of my fridge with some herbs and a tin of tomatoes added).
Have leftovers from Sunday dinner for supper with some champ made from mashed potatoes and left over spring onions chopped up (Nigel Slater's recipe except I doubt he ever uses left over bendy things from the bottom of the fridge:o ).
