Tesco Petrol Price Guarantee - Waste of Time!

Simple answer is don't shop at Tesco. I will never shop there again, not because of their prices as such, but because I have spent many a wasted hour delivering goods to their warehouses, now normally I would have a nice warm, comfortable truck cab to wait in whilst being unloaded - not at Tesco, you are expected to wait for anything up to 6 hours in a small room with only wooden benches to sit on!!!! The delays in unloading cost the haulage industry millions per year, but Tesco make Billions of profit by making other people pay for their incompetance, Just stay away from the company is my advice.0

Thanks for the info on Penrith Morrisons, I suppose Boroughbridge is a tourist area, too!
(It is'nt!) It's in N.Yorshire just off the the A1.
Morrisons whole pricing structure for petrol is stupid, in two days, I visited stores in Darlington, Middlesbrough and Blackpool and all the prices were different! Why?
I wonder if companies monitor sites like this to see what their customers think!Filiss0 -
I had a similar problem a few year ago. 1 Tesco station claimed that the Jet station was just over their distance limit despite my mileometer saying otherwise and on another occassion I got the same request as you regarding the reciept - as You I asked, why would I be asking them to pricematch, when I could have bought the fuel at the other station - esso in this case. Before anyone asks I didn't buy it in Esso, thinking that Tesco would be cheaper.0

Just filled up the other day. Checked on PetrolPrices website for cheapest station.
Local station is a Tesco's Supermarket, priced at 92.9p
Next station to pass is an Esso, priced at 98.9p
Next (and cheapest) is a Tesco Extra store, with an Esso forecourt - 89.9p
Obviously bought the diesel at 89.9p, but could not get clubcard points 'because the fuel is from Esso'.
So not only do they (and all the other fuel supplies) run a price fixing con, but Tesco then screw you out of your points.-=Mr-J=-0 -

Depending where you look, diesel is usually 3p - 5p more than unleaded in my area.
The cheapest Petrol in my area is 86.9p
Just waiting for the Biodiesel plant to get going then we should be looking at around 44p / litre-=Mr-J=-0
