very good basic range on sale in our local budgens. 4 packs of veg or flower seed for 99p. excellent for new growers who want favorite varieties rather than exotic or heirloom types.
additional note.
last year I got best prices and quality buying beans, peas, sweetcorn, onions, spuds, green manure (mustard) from my local weekly market, I bought salad and greens for this year from budgens and will be buying toms, curcurbits, chard, and others from a local nursery as seedlings. keep an eye out as quite a few people around here sell seedlings off the verges using honesty boxes and they are normally very cheap for the number of healthy plants you get.0 -
