    Happy Birthday Nicki :bdaycake:

Hello Miss A :hello: , nice to see you here. I have a new picture for your Daddy's birthday, and some yellow tulips on the chest in my hall. I bet your nails look pretty!

Toots - well done, you really seem to be making progress. I'm so glad you've found your motivation.

Triker - (((((((hugs))))))) Hope you get yourself sorted out soon.

Pigpen - great news on the cheque - hope you manage to get a bargain and save some of it! When do you get the money for your food allowance? And are you going to let on to your DS that this has been a profitable exercise :p

Mudbath - great news on OH's bonus. I hope you're enjoying the moment of moving from being a debtor to a saver! And don't overdo things... you seem to have FAR too much energy at the moment

I'm sure there were lots of other things I wanted to say, but it's taken me a while to catch up, and I forgot to open new tabs :o ...

I did a bit of flying before I left for work, so managed to leave the house relatively tidy. Started work with a meeting on one site, then went to my usual site and had meetings all day  ... including one with lunch provided, so I didn't need my packed lunch after all! Still, I've now got two in the fridge, and two days left at work, so it'll get eaten before the end of the week.

I very carefully left work at 6 so as to get to the gym in time to do a workout before Pilates, but the M4 was clogged up (something to do with the phasing on the traffic lights at J11 outside Reading), so only just made it in time for the class. Came home, ate, caught up on the thread and am about to tidy the kitchen, repack my gym kit for tomorrow, and go to bed.

My mum checked an offcut of my flooring against a table today, and the colour works, so I now need to get it ordered (prices go up at the end of the month), and also decide whether to buy a new bed & mattress without trying the mattress first (in which case, do I go for medium firm or extra firm, which is what the one I want comes in), or do I find the time between now and the end of the month to go up to London to the showroom to try one? Either way, I'll be very broke for a couple of months getting them paid for, as I won't get my bonus (assuming I get one) until 15th March...

toochoosey meant to say earlier that cheques are valid for 6 months from date of issue unless otherwise stated on the cheque. Having said that it can't earn any interest until it is banked and is in fact earning interest for the drawer every day it remains unbanked ;)

Right I shall away to bed, going to read more of Richard Hammond's adventures before trying to get some sleep.

Take care everyone, see you tomorrow. xx

***thinks*** now IF I sign up for month's trial free credit report (see Martin's weekly e-mail) will I remember to cancel - it would pay for more than my yearly subscription...decisions decisions....

Valli, you can cancel the next day and still get the free month - I did that and it was fine...

Thanks for the bit about DS - You know when you feel it is right, but also feel it is wrong - I think mainly because I don't want anyone at his school to think I'm one of those mums who does't give too hoots... :rotfl:

I have before and after photos of his room - very sparkly now - I love shame! :D - just need to work out how to get them off my phone onto the computer...:o

This will sound weird, but does anyone have trouble in the bath telling the difference between hot and cold water with their feet? I was topping up the water and wondered if the hot water had run out so I put my foot in the water coming out of the tap, but couldn't tell if it was hot or cold! This has happened quite a few times now. :o

Yes... generally if it's really hot or really cold, and I'm VERY cold, but I don't think its normal  . Do you have any back problems, and have you had any pins and needles or numbness in your legs or groin?

THANK YOU ANW'S MUM, had to rush and check the cheque, it is dated end of Nov, so i'm ok for a week or 2, but must check the main site for Martins recent advice on where to put spare money,(it was something from work about equal pay that I wasn't expecting) rather than go on a wild shopping spree, which wouldn't take long!!!!
Not sure if i've got anything yellow to wear, but will make sure I find something in the morn, even if it's a yellow scrunchy belonging to DD!!

on the flying front, I have cleared some of the kitchen units and decluttered another glass of lager, must go to bed now though!!

    G'night......
  • started on my bank book - will done about half an hour I think!!!
