Evening all :hello:
What a day I've had..where has it gone?Flying is in pink:
- 5.30am alarm goes off (my new years resolution was to start working out of a morning for an hour to try and shift this weight :rotfl::rotfl: Still not happened)
- 6.45 realise the time got up and ran a bath for me, ran down the stairs and got some bits out for breakfast and made a coffee/put the computer & fire on ran back upstairs swearing under my breath after realising I hadn't ironed any uniform
- Morning routine mainly : Shout at DD to get a move on, ironed DDs uniform (mine I could get away with...just), make my lunch and breakfast for me and DD, run round like a headless chicken trying to get bag etc done, while applying my make-up wonder how the hell I have a bloodshot eye again and what appeared to be the start of a black-eye :eek:
- Placement : cutting & sticking until midday :eek: (tidying up as I go
) English, maths and Tai Chi (which I got sent out the classroom during to sit with some kids who wouldn't do the work) :mad: and photocopying :rolleyes:
- Home 3.30-6 : Yell at DD as she's in a foul "everything is :mad::mad::mad: " mood and has been since the end of school, eat, shout at DD some more as she hasn't done her homework (class work she didn't complete
not like her at all), shout at her again over the fact she hasn't done the Brownie badge work she was supposed to do, watch one of my colleages on the Culture show from last night
, speak to my mum on the phone, find DDs brownie work which she has "lost", write a speedy shopping list text Jo's OH to congratulate him on the job
- 6pm - drop DD at Brownies and go to Asda/Aldi for the weekly shop and then pick DD up at 7.30 - yes for some reason it took me ages - which remind me AnW - I've not got anything yellow to wear so.... I bought yellow nailvarnish today and will be wearing that along with a yellow bead necklace DD has - she has said I'll embarrass her if I do so I told her it was in my job description as a mum so tough
:rotfl::rotfl:
- 7.40 get back from picking DD up, put Tia Chi DVD on to see what its like and try to do it, give up after my knee makes a lovely crunching noise and put the shopping away while watching it instead
Laugh at DD doing it as she keeps getting her left & right mixed up then realises and gets frustrated with herself - results in me writing L & R on her hands both on the back and the palms :rotfl: We'll see how well she gets washed of a morning now as well
- Chases DD to bed after realising the time
- Now : I'm sitting on my bottom, having a mental block over my NVQ work...again! :mad::mad:
- Iron DD's blouse & cardigan
- Packed lunch for me / breakfast
- Post uncles card (forgot his postcode so had to look it up otherwise I would have posted it at Asda tonight!) and ebay sticker sales as I forgot to take them with me today
- Placement : Cutting & laminating, maths, literacy, more laminating/cutting during assembly and PE, Science I think - all the time clearing up after me and the pupils :rolleyes:
- Home : cook tea (BBQ chicken wraps by request from DD), lots and lots of NVQ typing up of work - DD can play on her DSlite, the electronic chess game or read for most of the night until bedtime. I am NOT having the TV on tomorrow as its too distracting.
- Collapse in bed at some unearthly hour in the hopes of having enough work done for my tutor who is coming to assess me at 9am on Thursday morning :eek:
:rotfl::rotfl:
Right, off to try and figure out what I need to do to complete this unit of NVQ.... :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Didn't get back till nearly 10, as I was busy learning all about the primary school curriculum, which was more interesting thatn expected! And for some reason when I got home I decided to start making spicy meatballs (onion, chillies, lemon grass & coriander all mixed with mince, some cooked and eaten tonight and I'll cook & freeze the rest tomorrow).
So the kitchen surfaces which were spotless when I left this morning... aren't anymore! But before I left for work today I did manage to get a load of washing through the TD, and have now put it away. And I've filled up a charity bag with some of the junk from the garage and a couple of tops I haven't worn for ages...
Have caught up on the thread, but can't remember everything I wanted to say, so apologies to anyone I have missed:
Johanne - congrats to your OH
Soappie - I'm sure you'll come to the right decision. You're fairly clear on what you want out of life, VERY decisive (as we know from your frigde & futon-buying escapades), and pragmatic about what's realistic, so I can imagine that you'll have any problems working out what to do. Any if the income is an issue, just make sure you have the right to have a second job, and do other things out of hours
Triker - (((((hugs))))) hope it improves soon
Mudbath - great news
Toots - so pleased you've found your get up and go :T
Mojt - nits... there was something on the radio earlier... apparently the pesticides are no good as most headlice are resistant, but silicon-based treatments that coat & suffocate the lice work. However, it seems to be practically impossible to prevent re-colonisation! Sounds like plenty of people on here have LOTS of experience!
Pigpen - genetic engineering... no experimenting at home please
DeniseNZ - Happy Birthday
Flower - hope you sleep well again tonight!
hollyh - great to see you back
Hugs to anyone I've missed!
Right... must get on and clear up the kitchen, organise food for tomorrow and pack up gym kit for tomorrow (20 mins cardio and a pilates class)0 -
You know what I really love about this thread - how many people have said "I'm going to bed now" since 11pm and their green lights are still on
:rotfl::rotfl:
Flying bit : just decluttered a glass of cordial ... maybe it should have been a mug of coffee?!?!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
