Back to the gym now for yoga and pilates... I'm suddenly very tired  but need to go. Hopefully I'll be ready for bed when I return!

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Bit late "signing-in" this week, having been to Wales for the weekend! Haven't looked at list yet - but turned out half of the cupboard under the stairs today! may get to the other half tomorrow - but if not, at least I've made a start!

edited to say - have read Monday's tasks, and I've already changed and washed the sheets, so I'm more on track than I thought!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

    Evening everyone

Actual work went well - I achieved which is always nice.

However, one of the first things the chap I'm working for at the new site said was that he was hopping mad because he'd found out from Procurement that my contract isn't being extended. I've got about 20 working days left on it I think - takes me to just about the end of Feb. If he had known, he said, he would never have agreed to me going back to the other site for that time because there'll not be time for me to finish up the work I'm supposed to be doing at the moment.

He's making waves and trying to get hold of someone who can cast some clout to extend. There's a possibility that if he gets the budget for the next financial year which has been requested but not yet agreed that he can pay for me from mid - Marchish. But, at the moment, it looks like I'm out of a job in just over a month. Hey ho.

So, my evening's list looks like this - it's short but very important!

Soappie huge ((hugs))) thats terrible news - I am sorry to hear that they have mucked it up for you - fingers crossed that the contract gets extended.

triker hugs honey - no fridge freezer and no money back that is so frustrating fro you - yes I agree its sad for the people who work there too.
mags cat - I know exactly what you mean - the duvet won why I was doing it! well done you have been very busy today!

I have been very good - while my tea was cooking I cleaned out a shelf in a cupboard so that I could put my toaster away as I am not using it very much.

    toots xx

  • Hi,

Hope everyone is well. My thanks button has been a little slow today. So far today I've done errands, babysat my great-nephew, done washing up & laundry & emptied bins. My aims for the rest of the day are to go with a mate to collect a tv via freecycle & do some more errands and tidying up

Pigpen - you made a veiled reference to running away yesterday as well - 'fess up hun, what's it all about?
Triker - hugs love - hope there's some way of getting your money back.
    • Start polishing CV
Yes Pigpen, I remember that now too...

Same here Triker, hope they can sort something out for you...

How annoying Soappie - if he gets the funding will it only be a couple of weeks or is it looking like he won't get the funding? Hope you are able to sort it soon... :A

Flower - keep going... I hope it works. I'm going to try (again) to be in bed and asleep by midnight tonight. I should be back from my Yoga & Pilates by around 9ish, so I'll need to eat then potter about for an hour or so getting ready for tomorrow (and putting the washing on... don't let me forget!), then off to bed

Hope we both manage it tonight Greenbee... fingers crossed...

OK, I have been a very good girl and given my bedroom a once-over, although must admit to having done the bed yesterday... :o

Thanks Flower - I don't know timescales for next year's budget. So, I have to just assume there'll be nothing and start looking.

Indigo - I test computer systems to make sure they do what they're supposed to...

But my new found OS skills are already making me sort out my budget and pare it to the bone....
