 Why does nothing go to plan?! I had a phone call to ask why one of my team had no end of year grades... well that would be because she started with me on Jan 2nd!
Anyway, it turns out that she hasn't had a review since MAY! And grades need to go into the system today in order to be accepted for pay review... when I spoke to her previous boss he said HR told him I would do her review... which means he didn't ask about it until after Christmas, and they were due to be completed and submitted for calibration by Dec 24th... so now I have to give someone a rating for a year in which they didn't work for me :mad:0 -

I've got the blind man coming this afternoon to measure up the little bedroom window.
Now that didn't half confuse me for [strike]a minute[/strike] five minutes... Oh dear.
Washed the hair now, need a list otherwise i'm going to wander around doing nothing all day. Right.
1. WM
2. Washing up
3. Ironing
4. Tidy clothes from bedroom floor
5. S&S bathroom (washed shower after i used it)
6. Hoover bedroom and living room
7. Organise my 'work' pile - hotspot alert
8. Take clothes to charity shop
9. Get party food and beer from Sainsburys/ Lidl
10. Paint nails
11. HAND IN ESSAY
By the way, after being ill with flu over new year, i'm losing the skin on the ends of my fingers... I know this is normal (mum the GP coming to the rescue again) but does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of it?? i've tried normal hand cream, nothing..
Love and hugs to those who need them

hiya can i join you all
I used to be a flybaby then dh got made unemployeed and all my rountines went out of the window , the house stayed as it was because dh was picking up my slack .
but today dh started his new job so it means i can get my rountines back into shape and continue with the decluttering .
so far today I have done all my daily household tasks , and cleaned the bathroom, i have dinner planned , now i am sat here on my sofa trying to pluck up the courage to go and start the declutter in the master bedroom , i need to start with the top of the wardrobes which are full of stuff - some useful some rubbish . maybe i'll have lunch first then give myself an hour .

Johanne - good luck vibes on way for OH + promotion
Kaz - love the idea of your guerilla gardening - my neighbour planted a host of daffs on the green in front of our house and they always make you glad (PS think your vicar is a grump for objecting)
Hi-vis is idealYou could guarantee if he was looking for a new coat he would gravitate to the yellow ones :rotfl: plus he had to wear hi-vis as part of his uniform.
Kaz it sounds very harsh of your vicar, what could be offensive about daffodils????
V jelaous of your snow toots, I love it as well and can't remember the last time we had any decent amount, that being more than a dusting. W thinks a hard frost is snow

quick coffee and on with the list for today...
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Welcome back jane 130 - I have sent you a pm!
thats great news that DH has got a new job - hope it goes well for him - dont you be getting stressed about the bedroom - just do a little bit - dont try to de-clutter the whole lot - stand at the door and close your eyes fro a few seconds - open them and what is the first thing that you see that annoys you - just one thing/part - and do that and then repeat as required - make it your task for a week - not a day!
toots xx

I've been very bad the last couple of weeks and fallen off the flylady wagon so I'm back today as I only have 2 more weeks of being home full time until I'm working again - although it's only part time I will have less free time. Plus I've taken on lots of mystery shopping assignments so I need to be more organised!

Morning All
Tried posting last night, but site was down for maintenance - so my post vanished into the ether - is there a way of getting it back when that happens?
Promised myself I wouldn't come on here today till I got all my business stuff done - AND IT IS! (I've been putting it in a drawer since before Xmas, and it wasn't good)!
So, this morning, I have:

Expenses DP/JP
Input all data
Paid all o/s bills
Made opticians appt (sure I'm going blind)
Ordered repeat prescription
However, I am still in my nightie!
AnWsMum - I haven't got anything yellow, but I will wear my yellow marigolds on Thursday:rotfl:
