Hi all.
Bought some wood flooring from Wickes on the 2nd January priced at £21.08 per pack. Just been in to get a few more bits and the flooring is now priced at £14.77 per pack! Not in a sale or anything , just its new price.
Question is...if I take it all back, will they refund me my purchase price or will they refund the lower amount? (And yes, I will then go to another local Wickes and buy it at the lower price)

If you still have the receipt they would refund the price you paid, If you don't have the receipt they will refund you the price it is now0 -
To be honest they do not have to issue a refund at all if the goods were not faulty, receipt or no receipt.
Prices change on all goods over time, at the end of the day if you felt that the goods offered value for money at the original purchase price then why take them back at all? Flooring is not exactly light weight, I think I would save myself the effort!!0 -

Wickes give you 30 days to take an item back. As long as you have the receipt they will refund you the amount you paid.Nice to save.0

As I've said on several posts before... if the price went up would you go back to the retailer and give them the difference? Think not!
Like smcaul said, prices go up and down all the time, it's just unfortunate you bought the item at the higher price... that's life!0 -

With reference to your first point, No of course not. I put myself in that group of people that considers itself 'not effing stoopid'. I would be pleased to have grabbed 'a real bargain'.
As for your second point, agreed, but if it is not against the law and it means getting £50 back in your pocket for half an hours work then IMHO it is well worth it, especially in the current economic climate. I won't go into my personal circumstances but £50 is a lot of money.
Interesting to read both sides of this. Thanks peeps."It is far better I say nothing and let people think I am an idiot than to open my mouth and confirm it beyond any doubt."0 -

We've spoken to Wickes today (customer services, not store) about placing an order online for tiles and if there would be a problem with a refund if we don't use them all. We explained we weren't sure if we wanted to fully tile or half tile the bathroom.
We were told that it would be OK to buy enough to fully tile the bathroom and if we only half tiled it a refund would be fine for the left over full boxes, unused and in original packaging, with the receipt.
As an online order would be delivered to the house, if we wanted them to pick the unwanted tiles up we would have 30 days (there would be a charge for them to pick up). But we could take them back to any branch in which case we would have 6 months.0
