Drum roll please........ Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to celebrate the sheer genius which is matched betting. Despite the many mis-conceptions and outright balls ups I can officially declare my first months profit as £233.00. Additionally I have £45 due in cash back from Quidco and I still have a free £50 bet to use which will increase this total by a futher £40. Thats with 8 bookies and one exchange.

:T Yes well done you extremely clever person! :T

Sorry to disappoint you all but theres really nothing clever about matched betting. Everything I've done so far is using automatching websites and special free on-line calculators developed by other very clever people which tell you what to put where. I did find one incredibly simple website which says click here, open account, place this much money in (qualifying for this offer), bet this much money on this game at this odds and a similar link for the exchange profiting by this much. Its more monkey see monkey do than anything else.

The postie was very knd to me once again yesterday. My £5 Boots voucher arrived along with a box of cereals to product test and £50 of Tesco clubcard vouchers. Sadly the bumper days of clubcard vouchers are coming to an end. Tesco ran a fab car insurance promotion last year. Enter a promotional code on the website and gain 500 points for buying via Tesco compare, 500 points a month for a year totalling 6000 points or £240 in deals. At the same time they were running a £50 gift card when you take out a Tesco policy via the website. So I took out a policy for £180 and bizarely qualified for both offers. By the end of the insurance year Mr. T will have paid me £130. Ssssh in case he wants some of it back.

OHs friends car insurance is sorted. Hes promised to stick a cheque in the post to cover that. Got him the cheapest policy I could find and then went via Quidco for £60 cashback and its tracked already.

Met my parents at a Toby Inn midway between us to reclaim my children yesterday. Two happy kids, dinner out and a pile of clean ironed laundry. Must remember to send them with OHs work shirts in future. Granny likes ironing.

20 minutes more peace then I'll need to kick everyone out of bed to get them rapidly mooving. Won't have internet access until Sunday so prepare yourselves for a monster installment then. Have a great half term all!

£85 of diesel and almost 18 hours shut in a car later its rather miraculous that the DDs have not been abandoned at one of the many many motorway services we stopped at. DD2 when bored needs to wee with ever incresing frequency regardless of how much shes had to drink. Packed enough chow to keep the DDs occupied for the entire journey. Obviously they rationed it for the first 20 miles then scoffed the lot and whinged about tummy ache for several hours. The ferry crossing was the highlight of the entire trip. Lots and lots of look mummy water bleugh comments from the DDs (and OH). Even the paddle boats at the park turn me green so the 45 minute ferry crossing was unbearable. M-I-L took full advantage of this with a shopping trip to the mainland as a treat. Found no end of traffic jams on the way down making the journey horredously long. Missed the ferry by several hours. But got there in the end.

M-I-L was surprisingly nice. DDs had a fab time. Most memorable was walking the dog along the beach in pajamas, dressing gown and wellies. Nana didn't approve so this became a daily ritual. I think she could have handled just the DDs in pjs but the three of us was a bit too much. Especially as mine were a catastrophic barbie pink and red check, unmistakable as anything other then PJs, the whole effect was completed with the lack of a hairbrush- cue windswept bad afro hair. T'was great. OH very sensibly stayed in bed.

Seems like we've done nothing but slob around and eat since we left. Visited the beach at least twice a day every day and had the hotel entirely to ourselves so the DDs were able to wander in and out of the kitchen to see what the chef was working on. Got to product test next seasons menu which includes very yummy chocolate and beetroot cake. The less said about the garlic ice cream the better.

Spent several days playing tourist aka checking up on the competition. Supervising children from the comfort of a beer garden is a seriously under-rated activity. Spent far more than intended but didn't have to pay for accomodation - perk of hotel owning relatives. All in all it was a relatively cheap week away. Will be going back there in October for the sister-in-laws wedding. Hopefully that means OH won't want to go away over the summer.

Came back to a broody hen with eggs under her. Not sure how long shes been broody or how long the eggs have been there. Worst case is we'll have chicks in just over 2 weeks. Will be spending today moving her to the chick house so we don't get any kamikazee chicks. The main houses are 3 feet up in the air with ramps to reduce the likelihood of fox attacks, ideal for adults but not for day old chicks. Other surprises included 600 e-mails, mostly for viagra and several from Mr Onkynakawoto and his many Nigerian relatives offering to share their wealth with me. Most of the surveys have closed but I did manage one for £3 paypal. William Hill offered 3 x £25 free bets over the weekend, only one is any good for today but internet banking is down so can't take advantage of that until I know whats in my bank accoutn. Finally got my Ladbrokes £50 free bet credited so have used that on a game this afternoon for a predicted £41 profit.

Am now happily reaquainting myself with the toaster whilst catching up on a weeks worth of diaries. Which brings me swiftly on to my plans for today.

1- Check out the bank balance and decided whether or not to take William Hill up on their offer to net £10.87
2- Finish unloading the car and start on the laundry
3- Rehouse grumpy broody hen and eggs
4- Start clearing garden aim to fill green wheelie bin ready for colllection on Tuesday
5- Locate school uniforms and persuade DDs to do homework and Eisteddffod projects
6- Place rocket under OHs friend as credit card bill with his car service on has arrived whilst his cheque to pay for it has not.
7- Work out where E-bay parcel to Germany has ended up as it hasn't reached its destination after 2 weeks and recipient is understandably grumpy.
8- Decide what to do with Ipod Shuffle (free from Qype) which is still sitting in its box on the desk a month after it arrived. DDs and OH all have MP3 players already.

Duh - sometimes I can be so thick!

Will Hill have had offers the last few weekends on correct scores. I've been matching exact scores at attrocious odds when its possibly to back (rather than lay) the total number of goals scored at the exchange. Today for example 0-0 at Will Hill @ 9.5, 0-0 at the exchange 11.5 alternatively back "1 or more goals" at the exchange at 1.09. The gurus recommend you use a dutching calcuator which although simplistic is baffling, especially before 7am on a Sunday morning. Its clear as mud so I'm sticking to what I do normally However all this is totally irrelevant at Will Hill won't take my money. Their site keeps flagging up an error message. In the end I confused their computer system no end and phoned Will Hill who very kindly took my money over the phone. Transferred money into the exchange to cover both lays but screwed up the calculations and ended up 50p short so adjusted the figures a little meaning I'll end up 6p worse off than I would have done if I'd added up properly in the first place. All three games are played today so I'll transfer the funds back to my bank acount tomorrow morning.

Men. OH had me convinced he was going back to work on Wednesday. Having had a quick look at his shift roster it turns out hes not due back until Saturday. He can't remember being talked into overtime on Wednesday but isn't sure he wasn't either. I'll have to come up with something for him to do for the week or he'll drive me nuts whilst spending a small fortune. He hates gardening so thats completely out of the question, although it would be a very good use of his time. I forsee the arrival of a skip in the not too distant future.

Moo2Moo yes that thing about backing +1 was quite confusing but a good one though. Make sure you remember the free bet is £25 SNR as I forgot last week and ofcourse is won.
