Have been reminded that there are two collections at work this week. One for a teachers 50th and the other for the school cook who has been pensioned off sick but left long before I started there. Still have to pay the vets who were shut when I went yesterday. Also expecting the final bill for DD1s residential trip, this terms cello lesson fees and Friday is a non-uniform day. Easy come and far far far too easy go.

    Things look much like this:

    Days to payday: 25
    Money in purse : £5.50
Money in emergency jam jar: Home to a few moths
    Money in bank: £163.68
    Money spent in January: £1362.00
Money remaining of this months portion of the live on £20K challenge : £305.00
Part used smellies used up and disposed of: 5

Things that I really need to remember to do today:
    • Collect medicine from Vet
    • Donate cash to school collections
    • Visit cash point for wonga for pocket money and riding lessons
    • Sort out outfit for wedding - impending sense of wardrobe related disaster is looming
    • Remind boss that he has to vacate his office on Friday to give me chance to dismantle his furtniture and remove his carpet by 6:30pm
    • Throw together a shopping list although I have a £10 off a £50 Mr T home delivery voucher which is rather tempting assuming I can delay the arrival of food until early next week.
    • Work out what I'm chucking in the slow cooker to feed granny on Saturday
    • Continue mega blitz of house. Its all going rather well. Still not quite as clean and tidy as I'd like but its a dramatic improvement on the last time she was here.
Horrific list of the day from the cleaning gestapo:

    Thursday ~ Master bedroom/second room
    Level One
[STRIKE]Strip, wash and replace the bedding [/STRIKE] did yesterday
[STRIKE]Clear the floordrobe![/STRIKE] did that yesterday too
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Vacuum the floors.. and the cobwebs![/STRIKE]did this yesterday as well
Tidy up drawers of clothing and the multitude of shoes Eeek
[STRIKE]For those who have been hiding stuff... Tidy under the bed!!! [/STRIKE] Did that two weeks ago when I crammed everything from the linen cupboard into the drawers (the less said about the towel mountain in the bidet the better)
    Level Three
Wash curtains and nets and windows
Empty and wash out upstairs bins
    Binbag dance!
    Extras
    1. Sort through one box of stuff
    2. Find 5 items to sell/give away.. and list for sale if necessary
    3. Ring someone you love but haven't spoken to in a while.
    4. 15 minute sort out of those random bits of gibble that are strewn about the flat surfaces in your room!

Despite having lots of plans I was thwarted at every turn. Went to the vets to collect dogs medicine to find it hadn't arrived. Got home to a message on the answer machine to say it was available for collection. Meh.

Went to Mr Ts. Got suckered by the myriad of bargaintastic promotions. Ended up £116.83 lighter. Filled the boot of OHs huge esate and continued onto the back seat. Now have enough loo roll and multivitamins to last 6 months. Not a clue where I'm going to cram it all though. Couldn't get all the stuff destined for the freezer into the freezers (we have 2). OH was suspiciously well behaved and kept muttering you'll say no if I buy this and no if I buy that. He went to pick up Nescae Gold as apparently hes quite enjoyed drinking it as a treat recently. Poor delusional boy was gutted when I pointed out that he was actually drinking Tesco Gold and the week before was Aldi gold. Got as far as the bacon section where he asked which bacon I'd got last week as it was much nicer than normal. That'll be Aldi again then. Poor fella was trying his best to keep up and kept pointing out promotions only to be told that they were stillmore expensive than other stuff that wasn't on offer. Bloke at the check outs was most helpful and gave me 45 green points (turns out thats the maximum allowed) which with all the extra points vouchers I used gave me 471 points for a single trip. Still spent almost double what I'd intended though.

Phoned Granny yesterday to confirm babysitting arangements. Shes planning to be here by 9am so that she can go horse riding with the DDs. I wasn't really expecting her until 12 which means I have 2 hours less mad last minute tidy up time than anticipated. Means I can leave considerably less to the last minute and must risk cleaning bathroom etc. day before rather than day of arrival. I bet the DDs manage to trash it completely before she turns up.

Operation headless chicken is getting more ridiculous by the minute. I've salvaged all the timber from the shelving I need to board out schools loft and get to chop the remainder into firewood for one of the teachers. Heads office is still a giant disaster zone albeit one strewn with boxes. Turns out he has paperwork he wants to do this afternoon so isn't prepared to part with his desk until then. Still have to remove all the toilet roll holders and paper towel dispensers and other things from walls but they will be in use until at least 4pm. Abandoned trying to do anything yesterday and spent a happy hour shovelling woodchip around the climbing frame to make way for the greenhose in response to a reminder that I haven't got round to instaling the greenhouse yet. Perhaps thats because there are only so many paid hours in the day. Got handed a trike to repair but the boss agreed that it would be cheaper to replace it than to send me on a welding course and buy a MIG welder. Can't think why. I could have lots of fun with one. I've seen Flashdance.

Am expecting today to be truly manic most notably because there is shed loads to do and people will be underfoot the entire time. Quite funny moving things at random to bizarre places to see how long it takes people to track them down. I mean why wouldn't you think to look for a paper shredder in a disabled toilet? Everything else is crammed in there thanks to the genius that plumbed in a sink so that the door doesn't open wide enough for a wheelchair or any normal sized person either.

Arrived home an hour later than planned. Detoured via the vets to discover they were shut *again* thats three wasted trips so far this week. Rather makes a mockery of yesterdays "call anytime" answerphone message. I'm not cheesed off. Not in the slightest.

Spent the morning armed with a screwdriver randomly removing things from walls. hurricane Moo has hit. Still not convinced that the rooms that need to be emptied by the time I leave tonight will meet the definition of empty. Barren perhaps but not empty.

Getting home way later than planned means even less time to blitz the house but I'm hungry and have the start of a headache so figure a sugary cuppa and an early lunch are more sensible than a mad three hour cleaning frenzy. Fairly sure I won't be thinking that way at 9am tomorrow morning when I oversleep and wake to granny at the door.
