That looks very much like a great escapade ticket:

London - Tokyo = Virgin
Tokyo - Singapore = SQ
Singapore - HK = SQ
HK - Singapore = SQ
Singapore - Melbourne = SQ
Melbourne - Auckland = Air NZ
Auckland - LA (or pos NY) = Air NZ
LA (or NY?) - London = Virgin

Agree with others that trailfinders are great. They helped me and were able to offer advice on best routes etc. From the countries you mention it seems like star alliance RTW would also be a good option.

Something to think about - I deliberately did canada and America at the start of my trip, as opposed to the end when most people do it, as these are by far the most expensive countries to travel and you will find you will be watching the pennies a lot more towards the end of your trip.
