    Steve, thats my picture..

Im replacing the kitchen, from council special to B&Q special...

Doors were fitted with no handles to prevent little fingers from emptying them before the child locks are fitted.

No handles, cant open them. :)

Open oven door, on the sides shall be 2 screws either side in the vertical that go into the oven unit.

Remove this, grab oven by the door handle, and gently pull forward until the handles are shown. Lift oven out, and place onto the floor, ideally onto something to prevent scratches to the bottom, maybe a flat box, a pillow etc..

Leave it connected, you wont be long.

Then, lift out the shelf, might have to grab it at the back, then you shall find a L shaped bracket holding it on from the inside..

    Pictures to follow.. :)

Thanks for your very helpful tips. I am doing a B&Q 'new door and drawer front' refurb. I may well drill into the filler panel with wood bits and try and get it off without taking oven out. Then find a way of fitting new one from the front outside or underneath. The reason I am looking not to take the oven out is it will be a struggle as the face of the oven is immediately adjacent (at right angles) to a washing machine which would need taking out as well and the w/m is darned heavy and fits very very snugly into its space.

When we replaced the kitchen, we kept 1x 1000unit to use as a corner unit. It was an ex-council special item.

We found that when we fitted the new kitchen door the holes on the unit were out of complete alignment, and that it took ages to sort them out. Managed to get them sorted in the end.

The other thing we seen in B&Q was that new drawers were only £5 & £6.50 each inc runners.

We found it very easy to replace the units and put the door on than to try to guess new hole positions..

    Good luck... :)

Just back from long weekend away!

Back to my kitchen! Bought all the door/drawer fronts and went to start replacing and find every hinge on the cabinets in different position so every cabinet needs new holes drilling for hinge positions. Despite the extra hassle I will end up with a substantially better looking kitchen and it will be well worth it.
