How do I get this under oven filler panel off?

It is under a single oven and is 600mm x 150mm. I can't find any way of how it is fitted. Took kick strip (below) off but no sign of screws. Also tried getting a screwdriver and flicking it off but this does not work so I am baffled?

Open oven door, on the sides shall be 2 screws either side in the vertical that go into the oven unit.

Remove this, grab oven by the door handle, and gently pull forward until the handles are shown. Lift oven out, and place onto the floor, ideally onto something to prevent scratches to the bottom, maybe a flat box, a pillow etc..

Leave it connected, you wont be long.

Then, lift out the shelf, might have to grab it at the back, then you shall find a L shaped bracket holding it on from the inside..

    Pictures to follow.. :)

What a faff but if that is what I need to do I guess I have no choice. I suppose I could force it off with screwdriver as it will be replaced but then how would I fit the replacement - any thoughts to save so much hassle????

The unit with the oven removed, little one is standing on the shelf. Should not be screwed in, just resting on the wood below.

Im in a middle of a DIY kitchen fit..

Wont be able to force it off..

Very easy, 1x phillips screw driver, remove 4 screws. Pull oven forward, remove oven onto floor. Lift shelf out, and remove filler panel. Shelf back in, oven back in (taking care to push cable back in first - extra pair of hands here helpful), push oven back, screw in..

out in 3mins, back in 4...

Go to Ikea and buy one of their under oven drawers, then you can use that dead space.

Otherwise some screw on pillars and clips.

Looked at that, at the moment just going with the cover panel for now, until all is fitted and in ship shape.

A boxing day idea has turned into a £800+ kitchen, and every increasing.

Thank god for ex-display oven, helped us use the cash we saved on a samsung ceramic touch sensative hob, good with the little on. No knobs.. :)

Chickmug, you got that oven out yet.?
  • Its probably glued on. Why do you need to take it off?

If its glued then a hammer is needed i guess from the inside.

Steve, suspect maybe they are changing the kitchen doors..
