So long as your Click Energy tariff is still lower though, that's the main thing. If it's not, then as long as you aren't on the new websaver1 tariif you can switch without penalty.
I am on Click Energy 5 and was positively steered away from the websaver tariff (ever so fractionally cheaper currently) yesterday by a BG customer service guy on the basis I would be locked in and probably best to wait and see what happens with the imminent price cuts.
It is made quite clear in the link below all the online tariffs will be reduced. I read that as not by as much as 10%, but reduced to keep them more competetive than the standard tariff.

I should have realised that would be the case. I locked in until 2011 when Martin came out saying 'CAP, CAP, CAP'. Hopefully it'll work out in the long-run.0

If they don't reduce the web rates then the whole point of having them is sort of lost...isn't it? I now also know why they chose to introduce exit fees for Websaver 1. Crafty f******!Standard
Gas prices will be reduced by 10%*.
Edit: Online tariffs
Your gas prices are decreasing and you are still benefiting from discounted rates for gas and electricity.
Interesting that they don't state the online rate is to be reduced by 10%. Maybe they are bringing their paper and online billing tariffs more into line price-wise? Who knows?Call me Carmine....
