Ok, so lets see who can be closest in predicting when prices will fall and who will be first to take the lead and break ranks.
The rules are simple - Scottish powers recent 10% cut is excluded as the reduction must be off the companies standard rates.
I will go first
SSE mid way through February
As a sideline I think it will be 14% Gas and 5% Electricity

You're in trouble if it's right!
My guess would be a few weeks later though, and something in double figures (average - but wierd and wonderful differences with region and tariff)0 -
I win! :T
First Utility, 20% reduction on electricity. Effective 24/11/2008

(Unfortunately it only brought their prices down to be competitive with other, since they were already way OTT)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Mid Feb to March.
They'll wait until the cold weather is over and then drop their prices.
That way most of us won't get that much benefit from the lower rates.
Expect prices to rise again come Winter 2009No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
Anyone else gonna have a go??Sunny in Southampton.0

The British Gas cut is a reduction of 10% from its standard tarrif. Am I right in saying, that this will not benefit click energy tarrif customers like me?0
