Halifax Visa Debit card - cheque guarantee?

  • I re applied for a Current Account after having a Cashcard Visa Electron for years (use to have a visa Debit, until about 10 years ago), it was acceted and my new card came yesterday, I have a £100 overdraft and a £100 CG on it, so they are still issuing them with CG, so to the original poster, it is probably because you didnt request a cheque book, as to why you dont have this facility.

Neither mine nor my partner's Platinum Barclaycards have cheque guarantees on the reverse - and my account has been open for years and years. I'll take a picture as evidence later.

I have had my Barclay Platinum since october 2008, It's a cheque guarantee card £100:D
  • My halifax high interest account from jan this year has a cg sign and I didn't request a cheque book
