On an xmas night, there was three between Nov and Dec, for every £50 you spent instore, you got 10,00 points back. You also got a voucher for an aditional 500 points if you spent another £50 at the next xmas night. hope that helps.:heart2:Stupid, unreliable vampire.:heart2:0 -

The lovely sandrascarlett posted about a No7 nail file and buffer kit that is less than £5 and you can pay for it with a blinkie. They are with with nailcate, false nails, make up brushes. I had a quick look today and they come with case to keep them in too. I think sandra sent one to a friend with some hand cream and nail varnish so a lovely hand pamper set. If you can find reduced No7 bits in your store some nail varnishes are down to £3.06 so on3 for 2 they would be £6.12, less a blinkie £1.12 to pay. might get a file and buffer kit myselt tomorrow. Thanks sandra0 -

Bellydancer wrote: »I picked up a couple of L'Oreal sets, which appear to have been a GWP at some time, for £1 each (hand-priced clearance label). It's a very smart white,zip-up, leather-look bag with gold piping around it, measuring about 6"x6"x4". On the cardboard surround it says ''Free Luxury Beauty Bag (with every qualifying purchase)''. The bag contains 15ml each of Derma Genesis SPF15 Moisturiser, Derma Genesis Night Cream, and De-maq' expert Milk-to-Toner 2in1 make-up remover, and a headband.
The SA couldn't scan the L'Oreal GWP properly, so had to manually enter the items as 'beauty'. The other SA next to her said something clearly wasn't right, so cleared the rest from the shelf . I wondered if they were actually trying to go through as £0.00?? This might be something to look out for in other branches, too.
If you can find them, these do scan at £0.00- I love the bag these come with, really soft and can fit loads of stuff in.

The majority of my points actually come from online orders. Normally boots.com have an automatic points offer where you spend X amount and you get X amount worth of points ie spend £50 and get 500 points. Then you can also use one of the points codes as well. Plus when the sale isn't about there are usually a lot more points offers floating around the site ie. 500 points when you buy any 2 products from a certain range, or 1000 points when you buy a certain perfume. If you combine all these offers you can usually get a good points return on your spend. Peeps usually post on here when there is the potential of a good points return online, you'll get used to seeing virtual baskets being posted here:D:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
I don't seem to be getting the hang of this Blinkie thing, or there is just some huge Boots conspiracy, to keep me from buying bargains!!
I went out this afternoon, determined to get some bargains!! I found some No. 7 nail varnishes for £3.06 each, so I got them on a 342, & paid £1.12, with a blinkie - BUT the SA said I couldn't have another blinkie, as I haven't paid out £5 cash - is that right? Do you only get a blinkie, if your spend is £5 over & above the £5 discount? I'm sure I've read other posts on here where people have only spent a small amount (after redeeming a blinkie) & got another one back? Or am I dreaming?? I wasn't confident enough to stand my ground, so I slunk off, very disappointed!! I was hoping to go back & get some more stuff with the next one! I've had one, solitary blinkie to spend & I'm feeling deprived!
The SA was right - after you've used your blinkie to pay, you still have to fork out at least £5 cash to get another blinkie.0 -

Yeh, thanks. Someone else has confirmed that, too.
I must have been confusing it with reading posts where people were spending multiple blinkies that they already had. There's that much on these posts that my little brain is frazzled!! :rotfl:
I feel better, now that I know the truth!
S xxEverything I wanna do is either illegal, immoral or fattening! lol :rotfl:0 -

got it in one
there were offers on cotton wool and wetwipes that gave you more points than you spent, like the cotton wool was just over 50 spent but got back around 60 in points, quite bizarre and the wet wipes were the same i had loads but am now running out!!
boots took away mine and my husbands cards because we had the same child registered for both apparently;)
we recived letters saying we were banned from the advantage card because of this funny how they informed us with less than 2 weeks to go until his 2nd birthday when he would no longer have been in the club:rolleyes:
i phoned but was told some magnificent lies, like i was returning loads of things( up to that point i had only ever returned one damaged .com item in my life!) and that i was buying too many things the same etc and i was gaining too many points and why was i keeping my balance so high etc etc
i was really upset about it then, so i made it my mission to take advantage where and when possible of any glitches i could and am not in any clubs. Needless to say i don't do too bad out of mr.b and neither does the womens refuge who in november had another 2 1/2 boxes full of odds and ends and loads of that cheap basics stuff that was floating around:T
i do like most who have been faced with this have an advantage card which is why i don't believe in keeping loads of points any longer:pcoupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0
