Homebase corner sofa - advice please!!

We bought 2 cheap sofas from Homebase in a sale when we were selling my OHs flat as the sofas we had were old and too big for the room. They collapsed within 12 months and hence I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Cheap and distinctly nasty.0

you get what you pay for :-)
We've decided to head to DFS instead as a few friends/family have recommended them. Has anyone got any advice when dealing with them as a company? Or horror stories!? Prob gonna get something in the £400-500 range and they've got a sale on at the mo.....
I'll keep you posted!
thanks
DFS & all the other sofa sheds, aren't offering you furniture - they're offering you FINANCE!!!
The products are, as you'd expect, built to a price, but the confusink marketing, of sale price reductions, interest free credit & lonnnnng delivery times, mena I certainly wouldn't buy from them.
Homebase actually have their products at normal price, advertised in their brochure, available within a fast/reasonable time scale & don't have interest free built into their selling price. Any offers are periodic & reasonably 'genuine'.
& as I mentioned in my earlier post, combine the purchase with a 10% weekend AND their Spend n Save card, you'll get as good a deal as you'd expect, for the price you'll pay.
& I certainly wouldn't want to spend £1000's on a sofa/suite, to give me a long lasting product, 'cos it would be worthwhile, as far as I'd say!!

Indeed, Homebase / Argos suites are all Chinese imports, made from chip board and plywood, fixed together with staples and not much else.
I purchased my suite from a local company and was invited to watch it being made in the factory, hardwood frame, glued and screwed fixings, very impressed with the attention to detail.
It was under a grand delivered for a 3+2+1 suite.
One of my friends works for DFS, he advised me against buying from them as well, most of their cheaper suites are also poorly made imports from China.0 -

Any chance you could say who the company were, Inactive?
Ah, that doesn't sound good about DFS.....really can't afford expensive independent company, there must be value-for-money places?!
