Thats is not aero, That is Vista standard, Aero is a glass effect I.E the boxes are almost transparent like:



You also have the flip effect:



Also tab preview in the tool bar



What you have is the Vista standard theme, and you can get this easily without reg edit by going to personalization, colours and apperance and open classic apperance properties.

Well guys, I ended up calling my friend in to fix.

Under one minute and it was done.

Turned out to be the display settings in graphics propreties.
Was set at 8 bit and not 32 bit.
How that came to be I do not know as 8 bit is now not even an option.

right click your desktop > personalize (sic) > windows color (sic) and appearance > change it to anything but Aero.


I wish when you choose UK English as a language it'd give us proper spelling.
