cheap, basic, no frills mobile needed
Options
My husband and I are both of the 'older generation' and both have had an old old mobile for years just for emergency use and in the car. These have now both died and we noth need a new one. We only want a very very basic phone, that we can phone in and out and text, dont need anything else. Whats the cheapest basic type around please.
Dont want a contract, just PAYG and one that lets you keep your credit that you dont have to top up every month. (£10 last us months and months)

Its a shame I was about to sugges this phone:
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/handset/siemens_a62/detail/pay_as_you_go
Which was £10 and you could get £5 back with TopCashBack, Quidco..etc..
Its still a pretty good buy at that price though, or there are some lower end Nokias around for £20.
edit:
Or there is something like this (very basic):

Have a look on the Virgin website and also at their reconditioned phones as they are returns that haven't been used under their 28 day return poliicy.
Virgin are good in that you are not required to use the sim at least once in a certain period of time which is handy if you seldom use the phone.0 -

I can't help but think that sounds dodgy
Anyway here is the link http://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/phones/search?type=all-phones
I think the A65 is a good choice, £5 airtime and 9% back with Quidco which is only £2 but still its not bad.0
