I tried to cancel an o2 CPW contract just over a year ago, citing a move abroad. They offered me completely free line rental (no cashback or claims) with 100 mins and 100 texts, just to keep hold of me. Had only been with them a year and didn't have big bills either.

Same here too, but I def needed more minutes so went for a pay upfront and cash back later deal.

I'm currently with CPW on O2 with 11 months cahsback on 12 month contract which finishes in three week.

What number do I need to ring to try and get my cashback deal renewed?

The last number I used to renew my cash back deal with CPW was 0800 955 5511. Might be out of date now...

For those of you getting the free deal, did you phone to cancel or phone the number that they send through by text and letter saying that you are due for an upgrade (which answers CPW sales)? Is that on a 12 or 18 month contract (but if free overall, and can get free web bolt on thrown in, I would be extremely happy - not worried about cashback deals as have managed them okay so far).

    Many thanks

£35/month 400 mins 500 text - No bolt ons or web. This was the original package I had, which they renewed last year and same again this year (no new phone when they renew).

Has anyone gone for the £35 per month 600 mins/500 texts deal on 18 months (think it needs 18 months for the free bolt on to kick in) and secured 18 months free? As the web bolt on is £7.50 per month, I may be prepared to switch from 12 to 18 month contract ... if it is free :)

    Many thanks

They phoned me to renew - 11 months free on 18 months contract, £35 per month, 600 mins, 1000 texts - it appears that there are better deals to be had by phoning to cancel - has that been your approach or did you renew when they phoned you?

    Many thanks

Same here, £35 per month for 18 months, 600mins, 1000txts plus unlimited bolt-on (weekend calls).

£30 overall for 18 months, less than £2 per month.

    Deal must have changed - 600 mins/1000 texts/unlimited web - £90 overall for 18 months.

    Still a reasonable deal.
