This whole thread is weird. We all know that Provident are kind of loan sharks and the OP has got everyone talking about them and giving them publicity.

"we" might but the OP certainly doesnt realise this, and thats why he thinks they are so freindly smiley and nice.
I really hope OP sorts himself out and gets away from these vultures. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I can see why this is causing so much fuss.Im not saying they are the best and the interest is over the top but it has helped me in paying the arrears and got me back on track.I get good money and my recent circumstances have forced me to take this action otherwise I would be ok.Now I am Ok.WItt The CAB Im hopefully getting a new affordable lower repayment with my BANK.I now pay at least £30 a week and I get at least double that in tip money at work. Not bad! I regard my tip money as money I didnt have if you know what I mean.So what you dont have you dont miss.So it pays for itself0 -

A book ? that all sounds a bit dodgy I have never heard of this Provident but what kind of loan company gives you a book saying what you owe nowadays sounds weird.
Never heard of Provident!?!?!?
Ha ha They are the biggest home credit lender in the industry. Been around for years and years.
Can only hope my humble business will be able to compete with theirs in the years to come.0 -
well this sounds very much like spam to me 0 -
No I had never heard of them, however hilarious you found that!?!?!?
And now I have I am shocked and appalled people can operate a business like this ripping people off - it should be made illegal.
I would advise anyway to stay away from companies like this, they are totally not what this site is about. There is so much information and help on this site you can use to avoid dodgy loan sharks so use it.0 -
thing is provident are terrible for interest rates but if your like many people i knw myself included who are on benifits provident can be useful i have had a couple of loans from them 1 is fully repaid and im currenty paying one off i had from xmas0

So you repay the loan using your benefits - so in effect the tax paid by me is getting paid in interest to these loan sharks!! Great!
Live to your means.
I have nothing against benefits if they are used for what they are intended for.0
