Try Provident

This is connected to my earlier post.Short story : I have a demand for overdue arrears in my loan.I owe £465. Being threatened with court action. Now I am with Provident Personal Credit which is a home collected company. A while ago I applied for a small amount of £500 with a weekly payment of £15.With my arrears in my bank loan I applied for their maximum of £2,500 but was declined. My agent Lisa (whos very nice and undersatnding) said I need to be with Provident at least a year to quallify for that amount.Fair enough. Anyway, I recently applied online at their website on there "existing customers" page for a £200 loan (to cover rent) which was provissionally accepted and Lisa text me to say it had been approved and she bought it round on the regular day I pay her.
So am I right in thinking she brings you more money to borrow on the same day that you actually pay it back.
Im sorry mate but this sort of thinking suggests to me you are in, or could be soon in dire straits.
Why dont you take a wander over to the Debt free wannabee forum where hopefully they can help your money situation. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

The more times I read this, the more shocked I become. This is connected to my earlier post.Short story : I have a demand for overdue arrears in my loan.I owe £465. Being threatened with court action. Anyway, I recently applied online at their website on there "existing customers" page for a £200 loan (to cover rent) which was provissionally accepted and Lisa text me to say it had been approved and she bought it round on the regular day I pay her.
Now with my impending demand date looming of £465 coming up.I applied again on the website for £500.Again provissionally accepted.Just waiting to hear and Im pretty hopefull.I have got round there system of applying for small amounts as and when I need it.From £15 I should now b paying £30 a week.
Not an ideal situation to be in but it stops court action and having to pay the net amount of £3,901 which I would have had to do.I work in a hotel and get good tip money and that has been paying Provident. They are a good company and freindly.I would reccommend them to anyone. You can even become an agent and work for them.My stress has gone down and hopefully through the CAB I can reduce my monthly loan repayments!!All in all after a stressfull day it has calmed down.
OF COURSE THEY ARE NICE TO YOU! They want to lend you money at MASSIVE interest rates.
I really cannot believe that someone is recommending this company on a MONEY SAVING website.
Please, please, please, listen to what people are posting.
You are unlikely to find anyone on this site who thinks recommending this company is a good idea.Nothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious!

I was with provident a few years, please don't shoot me
and the agent I had, she was nice OR SO I THOUGHT!
I started getting letters to say I was in arrears, and I know I wasn't as I paid every week. It turned out the nice agent was pocketing my money and not logging it into the main book that she uses, but was putting it in mine so I didn't notice.
There was a big investigation into it, and I told provident I wouldn't pay another penny until they sorted it out, anyway to cut a long story short, she was sacked, the police were involved and I got the balance of what I owed written off.
I now use the credit union we have through work if I want a loan now.
OP, please speak to a debt advisor and get rid of these loan sharks, you will just get yourself deeper and deeper into debt.0 -
Oh well.I will soon find out.Maybe you were just unlucky with that agent.Did she have a book she signed?Mine does.I have a book to keep track of what I owe.0

A book ? that all sounds a bit dodgy I have never heard of this Provident but what kind of loan company gives you a book saying what you owe nowadays sounds weird.0

Yes I had a book that she filled in so I could keep track, but she wasn't putting it into the book that she uses, and it only came to light when I started getting letters saying I was in arrears.
Maybe I was unlucky, but please do not get any more money off them, you will just be getting yourself deeper into debt, as another poster has said, try your local credit union, their interest rates are better.0 -

It's a book to keep track of what you pay each week, so you know how long and how much you have to pay off your loan.0 -
hmmm doesn't sound like a company I would use all seems a bit backwards
