No- the pin is so you can check your balances- via a cash machine. Its not for transactions, just for checking how much you have in the account. (So you don't go overdrawn)0 -
Hi Everyone, first post on here. Ive got my Clubcard Plus through a few days ago and put it to use for the first time this evening. A quick question though. I spent £8 and only got 8 points. Is this right ? I thought it was double points.0

Its because your second set of points (in your case 8 extra points) are called TPF points- they willl appear on your next shop and will be called TPF points. These get added to your regular clubcard points. (They are worth the same amount)
As you shop more, you will see the total clubcard points go up faster - as your always adding the TPF (stands for Tesco Personal Finance) points and the normal clubcard points,
Say for example you shop like this:
Shop 1, spent £8....clubcard points will be 8 TPF points will say 8 (This may or may not show up on the receipt for the first shop)
Shop 2, spent £9....clubcard points now (8+9+8+9=) 32 points, of that TPF points will be 17, total points will be 32 as your adding your normal clubcard points to the TPF points.
Shop 3, spent £10...clubcard points (8+9+8+9+10+10)=54, of that TPF points will be 27
Shop 4, spent £7....clubcard points (54+10=) 64, TPF points will say 32.
It sounds complicated, but you'll understand it better on the next few shops- remember, the real total club card and TPF points including your current shop will only show up on the receipt the next time you shop- in the mean time you only get told the clubcard points of your last few shops and the TPF points.0 -
jenniewb - Thanks for that, it makes total sense now. I did see the TPF on the reciept. Im using it loads. Just another quick question. Can i use it on the .com, online shopping for home delivery ?0

Does anybody here knows how to register your clubcard plus online ? So that i can view statements and balances online ?
Is this possible ?0 -
Yes.
Have a look in your CC+booklet which accompanied your card.
If it's not to hand, go to Tesco.com, then Tesco My Accounts and look for the second column from the left, headed Accounts and Policies, with a Log-On function. Click to next page, whwere you're asked for your Log On number[usually your DOB].
Next line is for the 2 extra digits you were given at the start of your time on CC+.
Continue to next page and enter the required 3 digits from your 4-figure code.
Now enter the 3 individual letters or numbers required from your password.
You'll see your balance. For greater details, click 'manage my account' and choose to see last week/last 2 weeks etc/etc/ - just as you would for, other online Banking.
#############
For points balance, it's no longer as simple/straightforward to see your points total. Now, you go to Clubcard/My Account and click there for a running total giving the amount in CC vouchers you'll receive for the next mailing - current qtr closes 26 July or 16 July, depends what you read where and who you speak to at Freephone HO 0800-505555[I've had both confirmed].
I had troubles at start and was talked through everything on Freephone.
Don't be fobbed off with an 0845 no. Just ask to be tfr'd. If they won't, just thanks them and ring again. Someone else will tfr you without a problem.

Tesco are seriously keeping this one under the radar
Our store is very large and have a Tesco finance shop where you can change money, sign up for imsurance, bank accounts etc etc They brand it as everything you want to know about tesco finance.
I went in and asked a for a Clubcard + application form for a friend-did they have any????? She at least had heard of the card and did give me the phone number to ring-but this product is part of their finance package! She spouted some drivel about tesco wanting to monitor applications on that account, but I found it wierd you could apply for a mortgage there, but not a pay up front account!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Think its also that the staff do not have a real clue about the card- its not a service that would be as sellable- eg, its complicated to explain to most people as there is still alot of faff around it- you have to apply by phone, set up a direct debit, or pay onto the card only via customer services who are also (in the majority of cases I have seen) amused and unsure of what the card actually is- most seem to think I have a credit card:eek: and am paying off the balance! (I am not allowed a CC as I have shattered my credit rating) they say its "very good as dorothy perkins don't allow them to pay off their card in store anymore..." I gave up explaining a while ago! Also, many do not know how to put cash onto the card- one person took it off for me, another needed me to do step by step instructions (first you swipe the card, then click to go to TFP, then click for cash deposits....) as they had only ever been told how to do it once in training. 3 years ago.
So think there are many reasons Tesco do not advertise the card to the masses- doesn't bother me though!0
