How long to wait for quotes?

Just wondering what the norm is to get quotes from tradesmen (central heating/electrics)? Had a few people round last week but none of them have got back (phone/letter) yet. Should I ring a few more? Thanks

Seems a bit strange.

It's a bit concerning that some things need sinking in as this is usually done when rewiring.

May be best to get it checked out.
