I've got damson chutney maturing - first time I've made chutney so I'm looking forward to trying it. I've always been a bit nervous of making chutney before, so I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was, so next year I plan on making other types.
Seville oranges are out in January. I've still got quite a few from a couple of years ago, so I don't think I'll need to buy any this January, but I will have to make some more marmalade as we are getting a bit low on stocks.0 -
Prepareathome, I like the River Cottage Preserving book - number 2 in the series I think. There's a good recipe for Hearty Ale Chutney which might get you started in the New year as it uses root vegetables which you might be able to buy quite cheaply.0
