Buying Applecare from ebay
Comments
-
Well I bought Applecare for my Macbook when it was 11 months old. Got a sealed pack from a private Ebay seller, paid well under half the Apple price. Had no trouble installing it and have used the tech help since who said it was all correct and I now have the 3 year warranty and help. The electronic transfers you can buy are cheaper but you can have problems. However, if you buy from Ebay and pay with Paypal it is quite straightforward to get your money back if the item purchased does not work.0

Just to let you know my experiences.
I used to buy my Applecare from ebay. Last time I did Apple wanted proof that I had bought it from an Apple registered dealer, as in an invoice from them proving I had bought it legit.
The person I spoke to from Apple said that there were a lot of counterfeits on the market and it was costing them money so only official Applecare was being honoured.
Luckily for me the ebay seller refunded my money without any hassle.
It's up to you but beware Apple could ask for proof of purchase and if it not forthcoming you could be in deep trouble.0 -

Not as much as apple are making.:rotfl:
I always wonder why applecare is needed, if you believe the fanbois apple products can survive a direct hit from a nuclear weapon and would probably survive a trip into the Sun via a blackhole.0
