NOw this is my kind of House move :D Mrs S, if I may be so bold, do what your instincts tell you, but it sounds like he wants you on demand and on his terms only; be careful my love us lads can be dismissive with women's feelings at the best of times nevermind if we are intentionally playing games with them. Glad your ing positive Luc x

Aww - I just got a lovely email from the guy who recruited me to the firm (who has also been made redundant)

I am sorry I did not take the opportunity of speaking with you yesterday … (inexcusably rather preoccupied on other matters) .. and realise I am in the wrong city today!
Wanted to wish you well for the birth … hope you keep well and everything goes smoothly for you.
With my impending departure I hope our paths will cross in the future … I know you will be professionally successful whatever happens work-wise and I am sure you will also be a fantastic Mum.

    Isn't that lovely:D

  • That's lovely Luc. Are you having a 'leaving to have baby' day today despite the situation?

I've just got a letter from my dad, somehow he doesn't have my phone numbers any more??

Anyway, he wrote to tell me that my grandmother died on january 8th. I haven't seen her for 20 years, she was a difficult woman. She raised me for a good number of years, a long story but basically my father took my brother and I when I was just a baby and my brother was 4. He dumped us with his mother (to spite my mother) who then dissapeared with us. My mum went through the courts to get us back, and it ended up in a high court hearing in London. On the way to the final hearing my mother had a car accident that no one thought she would survive. So, my father was given temporary custody. By the time mum was well enough to go back to court my grandmother had beaten and bullied my brother to the extent that he was terrified of the woman. He remembers the social worker coming out to ask who he wanted to live with ( I was only 3 so too young to ask) my grandmother was standing just outside of the room so naturally my brother said he wanted to stay with her because he knew she could hear him.

My bro has never forgiven himself for this, we went through years of misery at the hands of this woman. As a result, on our 16th birthdays both of us up and left in the middle of the night. I haven't seen her or spoken to her since I was 18, 21 years ago.

So, now she's dead and I'm not sad, she's been dead to me for a very long time. Don't know why I even wanted to mention it to be honest. I suppose it's just the closing of a chapter. I'm not going to the funeral, I do hope she rests in peace though because her life was full of bitterness and anger.

Aww Toto. Maybe your Dad wrote because he didn't know how to tell you over the phone:confused:

It is still sad, even though you've dealt with that part of your life and moved on. Have a hug from me and go cuddle your little bundle of joy!

We can't deal with business debt but we can advise owners of businesses or refer them to relevant organisations who can help.
