It's amazing what an hour phoning around will do. People are very sympathetic to a bride in distress lol.

Grooms room sorted. Another hotel had a disabled room free on a 2 night booking only but once i'd explained why I needed a room - gave it to us immediately for the one night. Highly recommend Premier Inn Filton!

I phoned a girl at work who got married 3 weeks ago and got her hairdressers number who although she is moving house at the moment, immediately said she'd do it!!! She's coming Friday to do a trial - 2 days before the wedding

Family. Nothing I can do about this. OH phoned her and asked if they were actually coming and she said yes if I want her there !!!???. I'll find it difficult to forgive her for getting me this wound up this close but there you go. I'll be building a new life with my new family in a few days so they can all forget me jumping through hoops for them anymore when they couldn't support me on my most important day.

Have lots to do today and shouldn't be sat on here but am really fidgety. OH is at work for today then he's off tomorrow so i'll feel a lot better then.

Tomorrow have nails and waxing. Friday have hair trial and spray tan and then the family arrive. Saturday is a mad rush, going to the venue to drop table decs, cake etc, pick up dress, take the kids to Wacky warehouse so they can "bond" (all FG's 3 years old and have never met!) then meet at the pub over the road in the afternoon/early evening to relax and greet the remaining family/friends who will be turning up.

    Busy busy!!!

there you go :) *hugs* .

I know what you mean about the mad rush, but you should try and delegate some of the things, get your bridesmaid or the groom to do some of the running around for you.

Good luck for Saturday, and don't forget to enjoy it! Oh and put up a picture as well :)

btw, my bouquet were wooden roses. £5 for 30 and they'll last forever!

I'm too scared to add up how much the wedding actually cost us but fair to say it cost close to the £6k budget (hangs head in shame compared to you real MSEr's)

Here's me doing the YMCA :o

  • Hi - hope all of the August brides are now enjoying married life.

We got married on the 21st and I dont think it could have gone better (apart from our camcorder didnt work for the ceremony) - had an absolutely perfect day.

Have you found things to fill your lives with now that you dont have any planning and running around to do?

Anybody got any more piccies yet? Our photographer will probably be another couple of weeks (hopefully he is airbrushing all the piccies:rotfl:)

  • Hello Girls :o

I know, I'm just the worst Bride 2 Be ever!!! I haven't read through the posts that I missed yet so sorry that I can't address you all individually. I'm so sorry I haven't been around since before the wedding.

I did get married though :T

Stressful or what lol???????? I was off work the Thu and Fri before the wedding, and my lord I swear I have never been so stressed. The 2 days were spent running round constantly until 2am the night before the big day!!! I swear I didn't have a chance to relax once. Even the morning of the wedding my house was a complete circus!!!!!!!

Anyway, it was def worth it. I did have the best day ever :)

The sun shone all day, and even though it was a bit windy and the chinese wish lanterns turned out to be a complete health and safety nightmare, we had a blast. We had 86 guests in the day with no drop-outs. I just had a few drop outs in the evning which didn't bother me cos we didn't pay any extra for them lol. My dress was lush.....got loads of compliments and the guests were just fabulous company.

My only regret was that even though I spoke to everyone, it wasn't more than a few minutes chat. The day just flew by!

I got the CD of my photos yesterday, and the dvd today. Now need to decide on 100 piccies for the album. In fact hubby has just gone to work cos we've just finished watching the dvd. It was beautiful. Really captured the day and I'm so glad we got it.

The honeymoon was great - although I think we were a bit over ambitious as 4 days were spent travelling. It was bloody hot, but I got a cracking tan. We even came home with a timeshare lol. Well, its not a traditional timeshare with the same weeks in the same place. It's the Disney Vacation Club and we can choose from 500 places from around the world. But our little piece of real estate is in California :)

Got the complete wedding and honeymoon blues when we got back. Haven't really cheered up until we got the photos, dvd, and gift list delivery from John Lewis. So I couldn't really face cominig on here to be honest, cos I want to do it all again!!!!

I will read through the rest of the posts. I sincerely hope that you all have had fabulous weddings and honeymoon s. Its been a pleasure planning with you all. :)

I have some photos to post but not sure how to do it. So I will try below. :)
