CAUTION: Wiifit code for £41.48 from Littlewoods

Has anyone read the terms and conditions of using promotional codes on littlewoods to get a Wiifit for £41.48? Sounds as though if you have NOT got the code directly from them they will withold the full price (£70) and not redit your account on delivery. Sounds very odd to charge you the full amount even though they have offered you a discount. Any ideas anyone??? See the terms below....

2.3 Promotional codes are codes that enable customers to obtain benefits such as discounts, free delivery and free gifts. These codes are non-transferable so may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with their terms and conditions of use. If you use a promotional code to claim a promotional benefit, you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it. By using it to claim a promotional benefit you will be confirming that:-

(i) you are entitled to use the code;
(ii) you meet all the conditions that apply to its use;
(iii) you agree to the terms set out below.

If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account.

I'm on the brink of ordering one but bet I'll be charged the full amount as I'm probably not entitled to the discount. Littlewoods check the voucher manually after you have ordered to see if you are eligable - thats why they take the full amount from you when you order. That`s exactly why i cancelled my order. There is a thread from a while back where people were charged the £30 a few weeks after their orders because they were not entitled to use it

Surely worst case scenario we just send back the Wii Fit for a full refund!

We were charged 2 months after receiving the goods so beware!!

Exactly. If they tried this then just explain you saw the code on what you thought was an advert for Littlewoods. They will let you have the discount, if they don't send it back.

Why cancel your order, did you really need the item anyway? Worst case you pay the RRP which I thought most people were happy to for this item

If you place the order over the telephone and quote a code then you should be OK as you have not agreed to any T&Cs.

Hmm don't understand the big problem really.

I was looking to buy a wiifit at normal price, then i saw this offer. I was charged the full £70, which i expected as everyone else has told me the money will be refunded back into my account.
If it is great, if it isn't, i still have my wiifit for the RRP!!

i don`t see what all the fuss is about, surely all these people that brought one, wanted a wii fit anyway, not just because they thought they could get it £30 cheaper, well if they do get charged the full price, it is only 1p more than you can get it elsewhere, which is out of stock anyway, or where all these pwople ordering thinking get it for £40 and sell on ebay for £100
