I don't know what to say pms, that must be so upsetting & also frustrating for you, DH & MIL. It's a shame her doctor hasn't spoken to her about the weight gain & eating regularly as she might listen to someone like that. I'm so sorry xx

Sadly no she won't listen to the docs either & now won't go to them at all because last time she saw them (think it was a check up of some kind) they said if she got any worse she would have to go to hospital for a while which she won't do. MIL goes up to see her every week & we go up every 2 weeks so for now we're going up weekly too & MIL coming to us weekly so we can discuss things away from her ITMS. Catch you all tomorrow xxx

Make any idea sound like its hers - sneaky I know but it will benefit all of you in the end
Has she got any friends / neighbours who have a good home help - maybe seeing them or a phone call may convince her of the benefits - if she has a hobby stress how much time it will free up for her and she'll get someone to gossip to too
Social services / help the aged can give general advice maybe worth ringing them, sadly this happens quite a bit and it feels like you're dealing with a toddler but you can only do so much if they still have the majority of their marbles and won't play ball - we used to all make extra when we had proper meals and freeze a portion then pop them in freezer then do a stock up each week - anything like my gran she'll hate waste so if you phrase it right lol
It is frustrating but there is help out there WRVS / Help the Aged and the Red Cross in some places.
If shes religious the local church may be able to help too oh and speak to her practice nurse - they usually are more personable than the docs lol

Hi all!! Feeling very very sick as I got wrecked yesterday...I am really tiny and put away so much booze that it's just the amount of liquid in me making me feel ill. Videos and photos to be added to my Facebook soon but my battery on my phone died as I filmed LOADS.

Another thought, with the amount of weight gain combined with diabetes; has your MIL had her thyroid checked? Sorry if you've already said it has been; I am a bit worse for wear...*hugs*
