She's a wonderful lady who we all love but has gone from being a size 20 to now a size 30 in less than a year!

She hasn't been out of the house AT ALL for about six weeks, she has an old twin tub washer but can't manage to do that anymore so hasn't washed any clothes for ages (we found about 5-6 bags full of dirty washing so that's next weeks job) because she can't manage to do it so has been buying clothes at extoriante prices from her catalogue just so she has clean clothes.

Her house is falling to bits but because she remembers some work she had done on the house over 20 years ago she won't have anybody in to do anything. Her house is that bad even DH & MIL think it should be condemmed tbh her floorboards have dropped well over a foot in the living room, I'm surprised no-one has fallen through it yet.

She's just getting far too stubborn as she gets older (she's 77 soon), she really needs a home help but won't, she's diabetic but doesn't eat regular, and what she does it is usually sugary/fatty stuff. I just feel so helpless atm tbh, both MIL & DH work full time so it should be me offering to do more for her but with having LO at home, and DD at school it's not possible for me to be there for her all the time & when I do offer to do stuff she won't let me saying she can manage herself when it's obvious she can't. It's just so sad.

I can honestly say it doesn't really float my boat either... but any port in a storm as they say!! :rolleyes:

DH has been up til about 2am the last few nights just crying because of the way she is, he lost his Dad a few years ago & really feels like he's going to lose her soon as well. They are such a close family, his Grandma only had one child (his Mum) then his Mum only had him so they are extremely close, it's hard watching his Mum & him getting so upset about it.

Thanks RCB I know you are all here for which I am grateful, I've got a lot on myself & am not usually the type to discuss personal things on here but today was so hard even in the 2 weeks since we last saw her things have gone downhill so much it's hard to imagine what's next.
