    Morning All.

Love and Lemsip to all who are not feeling well xx

Went to school determined to talk to head this morning as ds was really upset yesterday. He was going to an after school club but the kids ccome out to playground with teacher and when everyone who isn't going has been picked up they are let back in so I like to go and just keep a wee eye to make sure he gets back in ok. In he went Happy as Larry and I was talking to another mum for about 10 mins just about to leave ( i would normally have been at home by then) when out comes ds all on his own looking like he was about to cry. Anyway the teacher had told him to go home as he didn't have his P.E kit.( they weren't told to bring it ) He was devestated so I took him back in and she agreed he could stay.

But then it got me thinking what he would have done if I hadn't been there. " busy main roads to cross to get home . He said he would have just sat in the playground till it was time for me to pick him up.He'd have frozen in all that hail and snow. Now he's worried that if I say anything to the head he will get in trouble. Poor mites in a panic so now Idon't know what to do.

    Anyway
glad blue mondays over with now:rotfl:
gerturdenna Matalan had paint mug kits and so did asda.

Did you speak to the head, this is not acceptable, if children are at an after school club, they should not be allowed out alone unless picked up by their parents etc,
The head needs to be made aware that this happened, the teacher may not realise that he would have had to wait, but say he decided to try and walk home , unthinkable!!
They should have a policy in place for security of the children and obviously this policy may need to be reviewed.

We are trusting these people with our children, do not be imitated or scared.

Sorry if this sounds harse but I personally would go mad if this happened at our school and as a school governor would want to know why it happened.

**calmly sits back down in chair**

I would imagine that most mums would give similar answers.

KKKat - I'm really pleased that your doc was so understanding & patient! It's great to have a doc that cares like that :) Just make sure that you take it easy!

Melvis - hope you feel better soon. Izzy is a fab name for the pup & I can't wait to see pics - but no rush today as today needs to be a day where you do as little as possible & rest your body so it can fight the bugs!

Splodz - I'm getting excited for you too! I looked at the date on Friday night & thought ooh she'll be graduating next week! (How sad am I )

Toni - Hope your duvet days are working & you are feeling a little better. xx

Bella - Hope your body is fighting the bugs too! Sending 'feel better' thoughts out to you.

Gert - Congrats on the 8 years! :) Also, don't forget to send me that email, (I pm'd you my email address already) as I'm back at work tomorrow & won't have as much time then!

bucks - you don't need the chocs! Think how for a few seconds they would taste nice but then the rest of the day you would feel terrible that you ate them - it's not worth it, is it? *hugs*

chris - hope your head isn't too bad today! nips is right, that was funning reading this morning :D

PP - sorry to hear about hubby having to go back into work! I hope you feel less miffed today :)

PMS - still thinking of you & sending prayers in your direction for things to be better

Everyone else - sorry, I have a sieve for brains this morning! Sending good wishes for a fantastic day to you all! :)

Just as I am starting to climb the upward slope to recovery from this cold/cough/infection thingy, BF has come down with a cold (which I'm also getting as I keep sneezing & dashing for a tissue) & he is now suffering with the dreaded Man Flu  How glad am I that I managed to get them to let me back into work tomorrow!

I don't have to train the workshop I was down to train as I still can't manage too much talking without a coughing fit - definitely can't manage 2 days constant talking  so I have some of my other work that I can get on with :) Will miss you lot on here as I'll be back to reading up in the evenings but although I would dearly love to stay home all day, everyday, finances just won't allow :o
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

I agree, its disgraceful that they would try to send him home alone - omg how lucky was it that you were still there!! If it was my son i would definitely speak to the head, maybe also mention that your son is worried he'll get in trouble?

Tried this morning but he is out on a course. Waiting for a call from him when he gets back.
Ther have been 3 abduction attempts in the area over the last 2 weeks aswell.
I will mention to him how worried the wee one is. He adores school and I don't want him to be upset about going. He's a propper little emotional soul.

I agree if you signed a form for your DS to attend an after school club - which you probably did, the school is contactually obligated with the care of your son until the club finishes - take no prisoners hun

Puppy wee - you can buy pads that have a scent in them that encourages the pup to "go" there but I think they can interfere with the whole housetraining business, only other thing if really bad would be a dog cage then at least all the mess in one place - or some sort of containment for her

Hugs / paracetamol / hot water bottles to all who need
Happy with any wins this year :A
