£45 (less with quidco) for a good looking sat nav with really good windscreen mount and usable sat nav software. also can be used as a media device for music, pics video and ebooks.

plus the operating system on the device allows software mods, but i'm sure no MSE'ers will use ddgy software

anyways, anyone know of a good protective case
  • anyone with a direct link to som esoftware/instructions on how to put Tomtom on this unit?

Everything you need to know about TomTom and more ( Recommend you take a look at IGO8 ) can be found here.

P.s. If you scroll down the page to the hardware section the Navgo SY885 is exactly the same as the Navigo ( V2 ) sold by WHS and Ebuyer.

The instructions say to fully charge the battery before first use but it doesn't come with a mains adapter. How long do I have to drive round for before it is fully charged?!!!!!
Any recommendations for the best place to buy a mains adapter please?

I plugged mine into the car in the garage and left it there, the light goes green when its fully charged. And the car still started the next day - it took about an hour to charge
Always on the hunt for a bargain
  • These are good wee things, Ive had mine for over a year, i had tt6 and just updated to tt7, i added a few voices and it works a treat, dead easy if you follow instructions, its kind of idiot proof... updates are available including speed cams through pc tailor, click on downloads.
