Depositing Saved Change into Banks (only accept 5 bags)

Forgive me if this has been discussed anywhere before.
I have quite a few bags of change ready to be put into the bank. Although the bank has told me that I can only deposit 5 bags at a time.
This is a bit of a hassle. Does anyone know how or where I can deposit/change the money in one go.
Thanks

If you have children, try paying it into their accounts and then transfer it to yours - many banks will accept unlimited numbers of bags of coin into kids' accounts.
If you have more than one account, the limit is usually 5 bags per account. So just pay 5 into one account, 5 into another, ...0 -
Go to local stores and ask if they will exchange for cash.
Or find a local HSBC branch which has a coin deposit thing and open up an account with them.
I'm still trying to find a local branch to me, loads of London branches do!0 -
Its abbeys policy to take only 5 bags, I've paid loads of bags into my lloyds account without any probs so maybe just ask a friend who banks elsewhere to do it for you. my local Sainsburys has a machine that changes coins but it does charge a small fee x0

nationwide has the same policy - but it is 5 bags per account/customer - as long as the accounts are not all held be the same personsmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

coinstar rrp (I know not rrp but I don't know what to call it!) is like 7.5%.
EXPENSIVE!0 -
It is only certain banks that apply that limit. I would possibly approach local businesses if not as they often have fees to pay from banks if they collect change from them0

Our Sainsburies has a machine where you feed in change and get something out. Not sure if it is notes or credits.0

It will be a Coinstar machine, gives you a receipt which you can then exchange for cash or money off shopping. It takes 7.5%.0 -
ask if you can make an appointment to bring all your change in.0

In general, 'proper' banks like Barclays, Llyods, NatWest, HSBC don't have any limits on coin deposits (although you may get some unhappy looks from the cashier and customers waiting behind you).
It's the building societies and former building societies than have the 5 bag room, presumably because they don't have the space for lots of coins and it costs them money to accept. This includes Abbey, Halifax, Nationwide, Britannia, etc.0
