Hmm yes, you'd have to have all 4 different types installed in the same house at the same time so you could make a comparison and give a true opinion!

Aircon is cheapest

Air con is most efficient. Gas CH can be around the 90% efficient mark.

Air con is usually around 300% efficient in heating mode.

meaning u get more for your money, however the price per unit is prob cheaper for gas than electric.

I think the clincher has to be hot water. Central heating generally also gives you hot water. Air conditioning doesn't.
