Omina v Storm v ?
I am about due a handset upgrade from Vodafone and have been considering the Samsung Omina or BlackberryStorm. I want internet access, email, texting, some PDA functionality (diary etc) and ideally GPS (route planning) as my satnav is on the blink. MP3 playback is useful as it would save me taking an MP3 player on holiday. Any views on the pros or cons of these 2 handsets or any other handset I should consider?

Storm is worth more than the Omnia. In terms of price I would go for the Blackberry.
Vodafone you say? How about the Xperia X1? I've got it and it's very very nice!0 -
I love my Storm to bits am running all my 6 email accounts, using a 3rd part app called Viigo which enables me to download rss feeds such as the moneysavingexpert.com forum feeds. I am using Aim, Yahoo and Blackberry Messenger. I am never off the thing I even read in bed on it. And I bought the charging pod which it sits in over night on my bedside table and it wakes me up in the morning with it's alarm. I also sync my calender and my contacts with Google calendar and mail. I am totally in love with the thing, I have had it since the beginning of December, the 6th I think it was I got it. I have it on a 24 month contract at £35 per month, 700 minutes, 250 texts, internet and free landline calls. The screen takes a little bit of getting used to with texting and emailing as in typing emails or texts etc but I have got quite fast on it now, as fast as I was on my Nokia N95. What I like as well is that I find something new on it everyday.0

I am due an upgrade with Vodafone and they are certainly pushing the Storm with some good deals to encourage me to take it. I'm a bit concerned about some of the problems I've read about the Storm but you seem happy with it. I am also coming from a N95 8GB and I like my shortcuts such as being able to start a new text message with only one button press. Can your Storm do similar shortcuts? Thanks.0 -
My vote is for Omnia. Has a very large development base with loads of applications you can install and play around. Besides it looks good.0
