Can you go through Quidco AND use the 30% code? Any one succeeded?

I found the following on the Freemans website:

Specifically, goods excluded from offer code/discounts are: washing machines, tumble dryers and combination washer dryers, dishwashers, fridges, freezers and combination fridge/freezers, microwaves, ovens, vacuum cleaners, televisions, freeview set-top boxes, VCR players, DVD players, DVD recorders, Hard Disk recorders, Home Cinema systems, portable DVD players, camcorders, digital cameras and accessories, digital printers, MP3 and portable audio players and accessories, hi-fis and hi-fi components, satellite navigation systems, PC systems, Apple Mac systems and accessories, laptops, video games software and hardware, mobile phones and accessories and digital phones.

This list is not exhaustive, and amends can be made to it at any time. We may notify you of any other specific exclusions at the time of issue of any new offer code/discount.

Offer codes/discounts are only valid when used by the intended recipient.

Offer codes/discounts issued may be subject to other terms and conditions which will be communicated on issue and may include, but is not limited to first orders, orders of a specific value, orders for a specific product, or a combination of specific products, or orders placed within a specified period.

Offer codes/discounts may have an expiry date. After the expiry date the offer code/discount will not be valid.

All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last.

Any order code used outside these terms and conditions will be rejected.

No liability will be accepted by Freemans in respect of such rejection or cancellation of an offer code/discount.

If I am reading this correctly, it states that televisions are specifically excluded from discount codes??

I expect they are rubbing their hand with glee. They will never have expected to shift this many TVs normally. The more they can shift the better rate they can negotiate with the supplier in terms of reduced cost price or kick backs.

Hi guys, I have been lurking around for a while and have been following this one since day one. I have wanted to purchase a 32" Samsung for a while and when I saw the 30% discount on Thursday (13/04/06) I pounced.

I went via Quidco (still waiting for it to be tracked but early days yet)
Then selected the 32" LCD TV with Freeview.
Went to my basket where it had 4 code boxes available, the first one had D*EP already added. I removed it and changed it to the 30% code (the other three were blank).
The site applied the discount after I pressed the update button, which was before the payment page. I have been unsure of placing the order and Freemans then applying the discount but this time it confirmed the cost with the discount before the payment page.
I paid by debit card as a one off purchase (I have never used freemans before).
Received an email immediately detailing the item, its stock code, its stock status (in stock) and the confirmed price (£630).

Checked my online banking on Friday the 14th and it showed that £630 had been allocated, although not taken, by Freemans. Yesterday the allocated £630 was showing as cleared funds in my account, I thought that they had cancelled my payment and was expecting a fight! Today they have actually taken the £630 and I am expecting delivery this week.

Fingers crossed! Good luck to all of you that have ordered!

    That'll be me!

Actually, in the light that there's now a 30% discount (coupled with Quidco at 5%?)...I'm now very tempted to go for it myself!

What 32 inch model?- I don't see any 32 inch Samsungs for sale. There are some new models out from Samsung , R71,R72,R73 and R74. I'd be interested in one of these if they were available through Freemans, but they only seem to have old models.

Just curious if there is a reason why you cancelled, other than because you changed your mind? Thanks.

No reason - Its one of those spur of the moment purchases, and at this minute in time - Even though its a bargain I cant justify £600 on a new telly when I could do so much more for the money.

Apparently, the 30% code is for existing customers who haven't ordered for a while.
