This is the website of the parent company. They own lots of other ISPs all offering the same services, but sometimes the price is different: http://www.brightview.com/our_isps/index.html
An advantage of not using madasafish is that you don't get paul@madasafish.com as your email address!
I'm with totalise and have found them to be reliable, fast and with good customer services!0 -
I’ve had no problems with Madasafish….the connection speed (2Mb) is fast & reliable in my findings.
I haven’t had any dealings with customer services so I can’t comment on what there like but not having to contact them must be a good thing!
There is a 5GB download limit & I was a bit worried about this at first…but I have never came close to this, the most I have ever used in a month was 3GB.
If your bothered about the email address you could use the option that cougar recommended or just use something like hotmail….this saves you having to change your email address if you change providers!
But then again I think Madasafish has a ring to it & people will probably remember it easier!

With madasafish you can also have a free domain name with 50Mb of free webspace. Therefore you can choose your email address based on this.
For instance if your website was https://www.will.me.uk you could have an email address of paul@will.me.uk. Of course the domain name depends on what is still available.0 -
Do you know if it's okay to split the access?? Ie 2 laptop using the line? Some ISP mention it's okay.. I coudn't see anything on madasafish?
Also.. I have 20gb limit with BT..never got near it.. but I can imagine going over the 5gb limit with madasafish.. do you reckon I could upgrade the account if I did?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

I have Telewest which is split 2 ways. when I mentioned it to customers services, the guy just said something like "If you don't tell us, we don't know" If things go wrong, or you can't get the splitter to work etc they can't help either though (unless you do it officially through them of course, and pay the extra money)0

doh! Answered one of my own questons! What happens if I go over my monthly limit?
Additional usage above your free allowance will be charged at just £2 per GB of data (or part thereof). This will then be added to your next monthly invoice.
If you are a Madasafish MAX Broadband user and you find that your online activities are consistently taking your monthly usage over 5GB, it may make sense to switch to Madasafish MAX Broadband Plus, with 20GB usage a month included. There is no fee to change to MAX Broadband Plus and this can be done through My Account.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

It really depends on what you use the internet for... if you are mostly looking at websites, browsing/up/downloading pictures and doing email, 5GB a month is sufficient.uncle_buck wrote:There is a 5GB download limit & I was a bit worried about this at first…but I have never came close to this, the most I have ever used in a month was 3GB.
If you want to download music (like iTunes), movie trailers, MPEG clips, do file-sharing, etc, then 5GB is going to restrict you.
At 8Mb/s, you could potentially eat up 5GB in 11 hours of use, but realistically within a week.

I'm on Madasafish and I download music constantly - download movie clips, sound bites, share photos with my family and I've never even hit 3GB in a month. I'm a very active Internet user and I was really surprised when I realised how much you can do with 5GB.
Additionally, when I was looking at the current market for broadband packages, other suppliers seem to offer 1GB of 2GB for the same price.0
