Hi implosion,
Sorry to sound contradictory - but have you ever read 'Wuthering Heights'? If you analysed that in the context that you have 'Twilight' then you would be banning one of the greates classics in English Literature.  The relationship between the two main characters is reminiscent of Cathy and Heathcliffe.
Sorry that this is off topic, but as an English teacher I am thrilled by the books - they are extremely well written and our school librarian cannot keep them on the shelves - there are kids all over the school sitting quietly reading - unbelievable!:A
The books have hooked the kids and anything that is well written and has kids reading voluntarily has my vote every time!:T
I bought my copies last September and October - at very full price - only thing that irritated my about them, but that's how good they are - me parting with full price for something is almost unheard of.:D
Tilly
