Stephenie Meyer's Twilight 3 Book set - £7.99

If you really want to save money, why not just check the books out at your local library? I work in a library and our customers are waiting a max of two weeks to get these items on reservation (free for teens and 50p for adults). If you read them and love them and really really want a set to keep forever then go buy a set after lol.
I would urge folks not to buy books unless it is something they are sure they want to keep and cherish forever. I also volunteer in a charity bookshop on my day off and it's really made me think about the money and trees wasted on books in this country. Go to a charity bookstore in 6 months to a year's time and it will be flooded with Stephenie Meyers. It's the same after every big publishing phenomena. We could now open a shop full of Dan Brown books alone lol. The sad thing is that people donate these books because they have read them and so have most other folks. Often we can't even sell them in the charity shops. So they go to church fetes etc or do the rounds of other charity shops. Then when they still haven't sold they go in the bin. You can't even recycle books due to the glue along the spine (although I believe they are trying to come up with ways to combat this).
So please think next time before you go and buy the latest paperback novels, if it's something you really NEED to have your own copy of, or whether you couldn't read it secondhand or from the library. You will be saving the planet as well as your cash!

I absolutely understand your point and have been the recipient of many 'unsellable' books which is how I got into fantasy in the first place (practically all I read now) but I just love having my own books on my book cases and seeing the books I have read even if I'm not going to read them again. I didn't know they couldn't recycle them - how can that be possible in this day and age!

The film came out here just before christmas..may still be on in a few places. It was quite good

Thanks, wouldn't want to see the film before I have read the books though so might have to see the film later on DVD or something.

I bought these last year, £8 for Twilight, £8 for New Moon and £13 for Eclipse - now the prices of these books have seemed to go down as the popularity goes up...Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -

It was worth it though - love the book. Have you read The Host? I prefer that to the Twilight series personally.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0
