it probably depends on the product, glass used, guarentees?
Are you replacing DG or is it wood at the moment?
I would have thought there will be room to move on their first price. i.e. sit on it (when will they be able to do the job, because if it's in 2-3 months, then what's the rush to spend the money) I wonder if they'll follow up and knock a couple of hundred £ off?Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

I think the payback period of DG is about 80 years.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

Not worth getting it renovated, its DG wood at the moment but it keeps going mouldy and full of consendation0

I don't think the plastic would solve that though? Unless the DG Company state otherwise of course. Or if the condensation is inside the panes?Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

We used Anglian, for the new house.
Chose them 'cos there's a chance they'll still be around, in a few years, if we do have problems. They've sorted out the few niggles, the unusual construction, of our house, has given them without bother.
BUT... instead of getting them to come & quote first, we had a leaflet through the door, from small firm, never heard of before, they said £4200.
I then entered our details & window sizes in an aon line estimating website - Google on line window quotes, 'cos there are quite a few - & another local firm came & said £3500. They've since gone out of business & started up again, by the same people, so glad we didn't choose them!!
THEN we got Anglian in, told them what we wanted, had afigure of £4200ish from them, told them it was too much & we'd let them know.
Had a call on a Sunday, (end of their business week) asking if we were ready to order - said we were, if they'd match £3500!!
They did, had salesman around in less than an hour, to sign & deposit - keen or what!!
I wrote on the order that we wouldn't accept any price increase, just in case they'd made a mistake & the surveyor wanted to alter the figures.
When he came, we were presented with HIS paperwork, which stated that a 2% admin charge would be applied, if we paid by credit card. I deleted this.
The result was the sales manager calling back, with new paperwork & a REDUCED price of £50, on the understanding we WOULD pay the 2%!!
Obviously we wanted the added protection the card would give, as well as the cashback from it!!
If you want me to 'recommend' you as a customer, I think we get an incentive voucher of some sort - I'll gladly donate this to a local animal charity I support, if you decided to go this route.
