The sales techniques work better on wifes, ring them back and say your civil partner will be there then get your biggest mate to be in when they call!

Consider yourself luckly and ring 3 local companies that does not have sales men if it takes more than 1 hour to mesure up they are selling to you!.

Im not ringing back they get stuffed as far as im concerned

I already have 2 local firms coming round, just wanted one of the larger ones to give a quote to compare.

All salesmen work this way now they never enter other peoples property unless there are 2 people at the address.

I had new blinds fitted last year and when I phoned to arrange for them to come out they told me that my OH had to be there.

It is probably to cover their own backs and in a way it is good as it is harder to pressurise 2 people than it would be 1 person.

I am sure that in the long distant past we have had this same thing. I think they try to play the partners off against one another.

The main reason is, quite simply, so they've a MUCH better chance of closing the sale, there & then.

Sales people can overcome objections, as excuses for not buying.

They CAN'T overcome a REASON, thogh.
